Somewhere near the tropics, I think. Probably western hemisphere given almost all the signage is in English.

You don't say.

Half the signs are also in Spanish but I understand why you wouldn't notice that.

Uh huh. Porqué es eso?

Oh sorry, did I make a blanket assumption about you after you made a blanket assumption about me? My bad.

Anyway, por que es eso isn't a complete sentence; you're looking for por que eso es.

What assumption did I make about you, exactly?

Yeah, well. I was exposed to a lot more Nheengatu last time I was down there and my formal training's Farsi. Overly simple grammar worked fine.

That I was a complete moron who couldn't read or determine what tropical humidity felt like.

You do get the concept of alternate universes and people who literally have no idea about Earth, right? I've been specifically avoiding assuming people have the same baseline knowledge. Sorry that offends you.

Yeah, people assuming that I'm an idiot offends me. It offends most people.

I feel like the people who aren't from Earth might find it offensive you think that makes them idiots, too.

I've been to forty-nine different dimensions and fourteen different planets. I wouldn't expect any of the people I've met to know Earth any better than I know their planets, environment, culture, customs, languages, or food. It doesn't make anyone less than. The issue comes when individuals, like yourself, assume that because someone asks a question they must inherently need it dumbed down for them just in case they're not from around here. Sounds a little like you're projecting, pal.

Oh yes, clearly I, the person who answered a question and included an explanation in case it was needed, am the one projecting here. Unlike you, the person who attacked me out of nowhere based on your assumption of what I was thinking.

Have fun on the beach.

You didn't answer the question, though. That's the thing.

"Down there" though. Nice. That's Brazilian. I'm Mexican. Florida is primarily Cuban. We're not all the same.
