People are getting nervous about all the threats flying around. Someone asked me about building something to withstand special powers or, to summarize, something superheroes can't destroy. Fair enough, I'd say. I was able to build jewelry to absorb most of someone's abilities and I had a protocol for an armored shield ~~everyone said we didn't need~~ that could envelope earth in my reality. Considering our various realities and experiences with different powers, I'd say we could come up with something, no?

It was too much. I know it was too much. Do you think he hated it and is too nice to tell me? Did I overstep?

What kind of "something" are you thinking of, specifically? Something akin to a bunker, or something resembling a weapon? And, whatever it is, would it simply be invulnerable to destruction, or would it be something that can adjust according to whomever is attempting to interact with it? How will it assess threat from someone with an ability who is not a threat? Are all abilities going to be considered a threat?

I do not disagree that there should be safety precautions in place, and the amount of various threats simply for being displaced is quite concerning. It's understandable to be upset, but the initial reaction of threatening violence upon the inhabitants of this place is unsettling, to say the least.

	Not a weapon. I'm thinking a repellent. Building something to withstand a hit is easy enough for me, but creating something to withstand various powers at the same time is a bit more challenging. Also, nothing that looks alarming to people passing by. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	So it may come down to how you built the jewelry and determining how to adjust that to what all it may need to do. Solar panels. They can go everywhere, and they're quite innocuous to look at. 	Only thing about this is we have to be clear about what's happening to them when they step into that space. We had power dampening collars. Mostly for use on mutants, but they could block quite a few others as well. Yes, I'm aware of how horrible that sounds. But I've been working on something to block someone's abilities here too so I've already re-created a version of the design. Are we trying to create a building that can stand up to powers, or a building that prevents powers being used? Because I'm pretty sure covering walls with panels of this would cover the space inside the building, or at least some of it - maybe not the centre of the room, depending on how big it was.
