This is certainly far more like what I would say I'm used to.

Minus the talking animals. Hopefully no one sees the wolves hunting

It does seem like the climate changes aren't terribly consistent though.

Do you like it?

It is nice smelling the wilderness again, rather than hearing trees through the noise of the city.

How are you finding it?

I like the forest. Talking animals take some getting used to.

The talking is rather unusual. I believe it might be something that people are best not being used to.

It does have a homey feel to it. But if the wolves start talking that is where I draw the line.

As they are not the wolves of this world, I find it doubtful that will be a concern.

A valid point, sister.

The snow is a nice reminder of Winterfell.

I find the chill climate at times far more comforting than the warm. It can almost feel like being in the North again.

The talking animals are a new thing for me too. Well, there was a talking raccoon at one point.

Do the wolves like the new weather?

It does appear that more people are unused to it than those who are taking it in stride. Which is somewhat comforting.

They are most pleased. I think they'll be spending the majority of the time outside. Given their coats, they hardly notice.

Comforting in the way that it's nice knowing animals that talk isn't the norm among our different worlds.

I bet that they will. The time outside will be good for them.

That would be quite the shock, finding out that more worlds had talking animals than didn't. I feel that might make eating them rather awkward.

I think they hunt better in the woods too. Although, given my previous statement, I'm not going too into that.

Yeah, probably best not to think too hard on it either way. It would be hard to keep up with them, but they know they're way back better than most.

Have you gotten around to taking a look around much?

They're a pack, they're stronger together. And they'll always find their way home to us. Ghost is especially good at finding Jon.

Not a lot, I was rather distracted though. I think this might be easier to explore than the islands, right?

Based on what I've observed of them, I wouldn't be surprised if they go off to hunt but still keep you and the others within a earshot or a nose's reach.

Maybe, though it might depend on the person or where you end up.

Do you think there are dangers around here? Should I call Lady back?

I think that one might be even after my time, or the time where I picked up on phrases like that. But it's true.

No more than any other place we've been from what I've seen so far, but you should do what makes you feel the most comfortable.

So far, people have mentioned woodland creatures, mythological creatures and castles that had poor residents at a time. And it seems there's a citadel somewhere. Nothing about bandits or feuding houses.

And like you said, they'll probably stay close enough that one yell will bring the pack. I could probably forego taking her from her hunting for now.

Have you done any exploring of note?

Nothing that would be an immediate threat, at the very least, but good to keep an eye out like with most new, unfamiliar places.

In the immediate area but not much elsewhere. Is there anywhere you're thinking of checking out?

It does seem like the Entity does have a habit of lulling people into a false sense of security.

Lissa says there is a citadel, Cair Paravel. I'm not overly fond of citadels, but, perhaps with company?

Perhaps some creatures on the way. Apparently there might be unicorns. Or minotaurs. I'm not sure what those are, but they sound interesting.

It's a different sort of peaceful and soothing, but it does remind me more of home. Before coming here, I was used to a more nocturnal schedule and lived in an area surrounded by woods. The books this place is based on, I read them when I was younger, so it's exciting to know we're actually here.

There are books about this

Beaches and sunlight would not be terribly helpful for a nocturnal schedule at all. At least even during the day there is an overcast of shade. Are there places you know of to explore?

During the months I've been in our version of New York, I've started getting used to it, but it's much easier in a place like this versus our trips to the tropics.

A few, but I admit that I'd probably be wandering around without much direction. There's a castle, but based on what I remember about the story, I probably wouldn't want to visit. I'd rather see the citadel they call Cair Paravel. But seeing the woods, animals, and mythical creatures here is part of the fun too.

I certainly preferred the shorter trip to the last beach than the longer one.

The castle is unfriendly? Or those who reside there are? I have bad experiences with citadels, but perhaps since this is not my world it shall not be the same. Provided there are no dragons among those creatures, I would not protest to meeting more of them either.

Hawaii had enough other attractions that made it fun, but I agree that it was nice not to be in a similar place for too long the second time.

Former resident, but it's been a long time since I've read the stories that it's possible someone else came along after she was destroyed. There may be dragons, but I'd rather see meet some of the more woodland creatures. There was also a great lion.

Activities certainly made it more tolerable. This fascination people have with laying in the sun is confusing at best.

Hmm. It would be unfortunate to trespass in a place unsavoury types were residing. I'm not sure Arya can justify stabbing everyone she meets. Woodland exploring sounds somewhat safer.

Laying in the sun isn't something I've ever been able to do, but I guess some find it relaxing. Unless I had a book or something else to focus on, I think I'd get bored.

Your sister Arya reminds me a little of my friend Rose. But instead of knives and stabbing, it's fists and punching.

It does seem frightfully wasteful. My skin burns, supposedly I'm too fair.

Peas in a pod, perhaps. Arya has always been like that. Drove our Lady Mother to despair, but it seems it was always how Arya was meant to be. Fierce and ferocious. Her protection is invaluable.

I become extremely tired in the sun, and it can make me sick if I'm out for too long.

Rose is the same. She's been my defender since we became friends as children. And many times to the frustration of her mother or our teachers.

It does stand to reason that a more nocturnal lifestyle would be reasonable then. Or just waiting for overcast weather. The city seems better for that than all this wilderness.

It sounds like we are both lucky to have them, regardless of other people's thoughts on the matter.

Overcast weather helps, but there's also a lot more shade here than at the beaches which is a nice change.
