Not a literal pocket. It's some kind of artificial reality. You could think of it like being inside a snowglobe, or like how the Danger Room can create a place but it's really only a small piece of the world. Something brings us here and sends people away again and from what I can tell it's been happening for about two years. Normally we can't get beyond Manhattan, but sometimes the whole place changes into somewhere different.

	Not the same one, no. A few of the other mutants from our world are, and most of the Avengers from another one where mutants don't exist, but most people seem to be from different worlds entirely.
