[OOC: For the sake of the upcoming game plot, let's say this was posted somewhere around 3PM before Audrey left for work.]

What started as a battle of showtunes in the living room this morning turned into most of the day wasted making a playlist. But it's a Disney playlist, which automatically makes it amazing.

This one goes out to all of my bros. Some songs overlap who they're for. Some don't. I'm not telling. Except for the Little Mermaid songs. Those are just for me.

New films? Phantom's good. I enjoy it.

Brave, Frozen, Tangled. There was some debate about the virtues of Coco.

None of which you have seen. We at least have to watch Brave because it's really, really good.

I have not, no. What are they about?

Brave is one of the rare original films. It's about a Scottish girl whose mom gets turned into a bear through magic and she has to rescue her. Frozen is a retelling of Andersen's Snow Queen with two sisters instead of a sister and a brother. Tangled is Rapunzel. OH. And then there's Moana, which is also original, but it's based on Maori/Pacific Islander legends. And then Coco is sort of vaguely based on Dia de Los Muertos legends. Hence the debate.

I'm listening to your playlist, and I'd be willing to watch these with you. It might help create a better frame of references for some of these songs.

We'll check and see if they're still on Netflix. At least Brave and Moana. Frozen has some pretty cute scene and catchy songs, too. Hercules is really fun. And the Hunchback of Notre Dame has my favorite songs of any movie, but I could only justify putting two of them on here and so my favorite didn't make the cut. :(

Sounds like a good plan. I like catchy songs.

What were your qualifications for the songs, and what's our favorite that couldn't make the cut?

Obviously, I do too.

So. Secret? I have a seven-hour Disney playlist. And I just listened to the whole thing and picked out the ones that clicked for someone (or more than one someone) and eliminated the ones that either didn't or were obviously too silly to fit (like "Gaston" from Beauty and the Beast). Pretty easy.

As for the song: Hellfire. And my favorite cover version of it.

I can appreciate it.

Everything in one place for you to pull from. And you got to listen to catchy songs for seven hours. Not a bad way to spend a day, or seven hours of a day.

I can see how that might be hard to place on this particular playlist. I enjoyed the cover version as well.

Secret? I liked the Alice in Wonderland song.

Yeah, some of the darker ones didn't make the cut. But I really enjoy the villain songs. I could probably do an entire separate playlist of just those because they're all just so great. Villains in Disney really do get the showstoppers.

Funny, I had this weird feeling you might.

They have to set the villains up somehow. What better way than a showstopper? If you made that playlist, I would listen to it.

Latent psychic abilities? Seems plausible.

I'd have to trade some stuff of this one onto the other one if I did, but it's not like I couldn't find a couple of songs to replace them. And then we'd have two Disney playlists instead of just one. Twice as good.

Y'know, my abuela always said she was psychic and she did correctly predict the sexes of every single one of her grandbabies, so it's possible.

What's wrong with repeats? Is it something that could be done if given enough time between the sharing of each playlist?

That's certainly an interesting talent. I imagine it would be hard to test here, but we could see if you can correctly guess the card drawn from the deck. We could also see if you can correctly guess it before it's drawn.

I'm sure it's fine but I like keeping things a little smoother. So you can listen to things back to back without hearing the same song.

Isn't that just card counting? I'm nowhere near good enough at math for that. Although, that's pretty similar to the tests that the CIA did in conjunction with U.S. Army in the 70s and 80s post-MKULTRA. But their cards just had shapes on them so you had a 25% chance of being right. And, as anticipated, the results were disappointing.

Speaking of my abuela, though, I'm making a run to this botanica near where I get groceries on Sunday morning. You wanna come help me carry bags? I'll buy breakfast.

Could make a version 2.0 to this playlist with the swapped out? Just to preserve the integrity of this one. It is quite nice. But I understand not wanting to have the same songs appear back to back if someone listens to both playlists back to back.

Not if you cannot see any of the other cards. Or if you're psychic. And, somehow, this does not surprise me. But I suppose most things would be disappointing when you combine the CIA and the military. Though I may just be cynical.

You know? I do.

I could yeah. I could also YOLO it. Would it be less good if it changed slightly?

Mm, yeah, good point. I don't think I have any latent psychic powers, though, but it might be a fun game to try! I mean, there's no reason why not. The worst that could happen is that I'm 100% wrong and then we laugh about it.

It's a date!

YOLO? No. It would be different but not necessarily bad just because it's changed. I do like what you have done, though. I may have to find a way to save this as is before you change it. Just to have it preserved.

A good laugh is always nice. We could then play a card game.

All right. It's a date.

A very dated and now ironic term which means You Only Live Once, used initially by dumbasses immediately prior to doing something dumbass. And now just used as the verbal or textual expression of a shrug. Usually looked upon with some degree of contempt by people with any degree of class (which is not me, I fully admit I'm half a trash person). But I'll show you how to back up this one as-is if you want to!

I'm shit at spades, but I'm not bad at hearts or poker.

This sounds like something at least one of my brothers would say. I would almost put money on it. You often shout that before doing dumbass things, don't you? A war cry of YOLO followed by you throwing quite literally yourself into something. I do want that, yes. Show me after shopping and breakfast?

Is this (potentially hypothetical, potentially practical) card game going to be just us or others? If just us, we could learn a two person card game together.

Klaus or Diego, definitely. I could see it. I have absolutely heard Noah yell it before jumping off a dock into an extremely cold lake. So literally throwing yourself into something is often involved. Yep. And I promise I won't change the playlist before Sunday so I can show you after shopping and breakfast. We can go through songs together when we get back, yeah?

Mm. We can invite others. I can be social for a change.

They did come to mind. A cold lake? Either very brave or very stupid or a combination of both. No offense meant to him, of course. I appreciate that. And, yeah, I would like that. You can show me your ways with the playlist making.

Careful, or it might turn into a party.

A combination of both. Brave with a side of incredibly stupid. But that's why we love him.

A party would require snacks. And usually drinks. Both of which could be provided if you wanted to make it into one. I certainly wouldn't be opposed.

I don't think you're ready to know how many times I've died by now. And if it's been under a minute, it doesn't count.

No, I'm not. I don't want to know. It's bad enough

This explains so much about that thing between your ears. Why are you not counting under a minute? (Auto)Erotic asphyxiation?

Furries? Furries, probably.

For the record, pretending you're enjoying asphyxiation is how you can really creep out the really angry lady.
