Who: Riri Williams and Tony Stark
What: Meeting for the first time (for Tony, anyway)
Where: The Roof of Stark Industries
When: Backdated-- Friday Nov 30th
It had started out as a pretty average day for Riri. She hadn't been called away by SHIELD, or asked to visit Wakanda. Even The Forum that day had been pretty quiet. It was fine for Riri, because that meant that she could do what she loved doing-- protecting Chicago. It was the reason she had built her first suit in the first place, so she could protect the lower neighborhoods from the violence that plagued them. She had been flying high, swooped through a low hanging cloud and... wound up in New York?
Then FRIDAY bugged out, and honestly, Riri tried to keep calm. It wasn't the first time something weird had happened to her after all (though, usually she wasn't so alone). She had gotten some ground data from her suit, but none of it really made any sense. Like it was scrambled or missing pieces, because she knew what the data set from New York should look like, but this seemed way too small.
It wasn't until people started answering her accidentaly upload that things began to make sense. She'd found some sort of dimensional gate. Alright. She could work with that. But even talking to the people who were... different then the ones she was used to got weird. Especially when it came to talking to Tony. She'd only known in-person Tony for a couple of months, and only had his AI to compare him to.
It didn't take Riri long at all to loop around to the Stark Industries building. It had a similiar feel to the Stark Solutions building at least, and she frowned a little bit thinking about her lab sitting there untouched, wondering if Rescue and Tony AI would start looking for her. And her mother, her gut tightened, thinking about how worried her mother would be.
She landed on the building, but didn't shed her armor, not yet anyway. She didn't really know what she was dealing with yet, and what if this new world Tony wasn't as friendly as she thought him to be? After all, she knew what could happen with clones, and she shuttered to think about Captain America's doppleganger again. Still, she told FRIDAY to make her mask clear, and the armor listened, removing the color pigman from her helmet so that her face could be visible through it.
Now, all she had to do was wait.
