At the rate the entity was going with all of these events, it was going to take Lydia four years to finish her two years of college. Not that she was in any particular rush while she was here, but she did like her classes. There was no way she was getting on a subway train to school when there were three kids in the apartment. Well, two kids and a teenager. And work was right out as well. She was letting them roam the building freely without hovering too much, but if they needed something she wanted to be close by. She had no idea if that was right, but she had no idea if any of what she was doing was right. And she couldn't exactly call her mom.

Standing in the kitchen with a notepad in hand, she was taking stock of the dismal state of their pantry. They were eating so much, and she hadn't wanted to run out to the store to replenish in case she was needed. The idea of bringing Scott and Stiles with her was way too nerve-wracking. She'd definitely lose one of them, if not both. She had so much more respect for Melissa, Claudia, and Noah right now.

He was either going to go crazy on sugar or crash from all of the sugar. It could go either way. "I like watching movies with her." He ate more of his ice cream. "Ooh! Maybe he'll want to do something. I'm sure he misses his mom, too." He was already halfway done with his treat before he leaned forward a little to get a better look at Lydia's ice cream. "What kind is that?" he asked as he pointed to it with his own spoon.

"He's not going to want to watch Star Wars with you." But maybe he would without all of the years of trying to prove his point. "But maybe we can find something else." She'd only managed to take two bites of her ice cream compared to his feeding frenzy. "It's coffee flavored." She was hoping the tiny amount of caffeine would help, but she was also really considering Postmating some Starbucks to the apartment or wherever they went next.

	"There are a lot of Disney movies here you haven't even heard of since we're in the future," she pointed out. "But we have the classics too." She took a bigger bite to prove to him that it was good, though that meant she had to wait to answer him. "It's an adult flavor, you definitely wouldn't like it. 	"Let's watch those!" He was all for watching movies he had never even heard of. He hoped Scott would want to watch them with him. "Oh. Okay." "Okay." He grabbed his spoon and then took the small bite after Lydia placed it on the spoon. He scrunched up his face and almost wanted to spit it out. It tasted so gross. He quickly swallowed it and said, "Yuck! That was gross." He grabbed a napkin and tried to wipe the taste out of his mouth. "Groossss." He finally stopped and then grabbed his trash and stood up. He tossed it into the trash can and then stood beside Lydia. "Cora won't watch anything with us. She always says no whenever I ask her to do anything."

	He took her hand once again and let her led them out of the ice cream place. "I said, 'do you wanna play with me?' and she said 'no, go away shorty.'" 	"Well, that's not a very nice way to say no, is it? But not a lot of 13-year-olds want to play with kids your age. Would you want to play with a toddler if you had the choice not to?" He looked up and smiled. "My mom calls me that!" He left out the bit that he called himself that for a bit too since he couldn't pronounce his actual name at first. He looked in the direction that Lydia had mentioned. "Yeah, I see it," he told her when he did finally see their apartment building. "I will." Hopefully, that never happened. Especially since he didn't want to scare her again.

	She wasn't going to let on that she already knew that (was it cheating? Nah), so she just grinned at him instead. "Really? Well we both must think it fits." 	"You can call me that if you want." Even though it was his mom's thing, he liked Lydia, so he would be okay if she called him that as well. As for the ostirches, he didn't find them creepy.
