He gave a small smile as Daisy's voice radiated through the apartment and Lincoln followed the sound to her bedroom. "Just because you said you weren't going anywhere didn't mean there might not be an emergency somewhere," he said as he moved over and sat on the bed. "It's so good to see you, I can't even begin to tell you," he told her reaching for her hand.
Right now he still couldn't quite trust his senses and to know it really was Daisy, he needed to touch her and gently slipped his hand into hers. "Didn't think I'd ever see you again," Lincoln said it a harsh whisper. He didn't know how to explain to her what he'd dealt with, or if he should mention what he'd seen in the maze. Knowing she'd been there too hurt his heart, especially given what she'd said on the web. Lincoln wanted to ask her about it, but didn't know if she'd want to talk about it.
