SPOILERS: Through Endgame.

[EDIT: The rescue thread taking place Tuesday between Tony and Rhodey is added into this thread.]

Tony remembered a falling sensation. He thought it was a nightmare, which wasn’t unusual, but then he realized he could feel and smell things around him. “What the fuck,” he muttered reaching down to find he was still in his pajamas. Granted, he had on gray sweatpants and a plain blue t-shirt, but they were wrinkled and clearly not meant for outside wear. The things that pop into mind when distressed! He clambered to his feet and immediately searched his pockets. He felt relieved to find his fully charged phone tucked in a pocket. Had he left it there when he climbed into bed next to Pepper? Or was it the Entity’s work?

He could hear screams, but didn’t know if they were from other Goodland residents or...well, more sinister beings. He turned his phone’s flashlight on and felt around as he started walking through the maze. He lost track of time as he hit one wall after another. Things went from bad to worse when he caught Freddy Kruger’s attention. Did that mean he was in a dream world? Or was Freddy somehow in Goodland? Tony, remembering random pop knowledge thanks to Pete, quickly yelled he faced bigger and more terrible villains than Freddy. He would have preferred holy water and a crucifix, but he could only work with what he had. His suit, sadly, was also a no show, but the insult worked. Tony rushed in the opposite direction and, when he was sure he was alone again, he pushed his back against a wall and left a voice message to warn everyone about the maze and its horrors.

More hours passed, but Tony didn’t keep track. He barely glanced at his phone; instead, he used its voice commands to talk to others and light his way. He drank the available water and snacks only when he saw they were packaged. He didn’t trust anything in that damn maze.

His whole body hurt after the many bumps and falls he suffered throughout the maze, but his heart gave him the most trouble after he experienced his worst nightmares through what he could only describe as an old school video projection. He saw Thanos kill one loved one after another while he was powerless to stop him. He ran toward the projection and pounded his fists against the wall until they bled. “Not real, not real,” he muttered, finally understanding that someone or something was fucking with his mind. “I have to get out. I have to get home to Pepper and the kids.” He took deep breaths, but it was hard to stop a panic attack once it started. “Rhodey, Thor, Neb,” he reminded himself. He had to reach them. They couldn’t get hurt. He had to get out.

He slumped down against the wall. His energy was depleted. He could only stand the physical and emotional exertion so long. The lack of armoured suit made it worse.

Cisco raised an eyebrow behind his own dark shades that appeared impossible to see out of in the darkness themselves. They were easier on the inside though. He was able to tell exactly where things were. They were one way glasses. Not only that, built in computers attached to his drones. The drones were confused though. "Sorry it took so long." He responded with a bit of an awkward shrug. "Got kinda lost. I think the drones are confused." He'd been following them most of the way to the signature on Tony's phone, or whatever he'd been using to post his voice messages, but occasionally they'd get scrambled and lost.

"They're above, but can't find an exit." He pointed one out as it zipped past them. Little black bots. One of them had googly eyes on it. What, he'd gotten bored. Cisco looked Tony over. "You okay?" He'd been on the ground, but Cisco didn't see a physical injury. Maybe a few scrapes here and there. His brows furrowed in concern for his friend, he looked like he was in rough shape. "EDITH?"

Tony briefly glanced at the drones He guessed the walls and ceilings were too thick for them to accurately get a reading. That, or magic was messing with them. Whatever the issue, he knew their technology could only do so much against Goodland.

"These." He tapped his glasses. "At least I can see without this damn light." He turned the flashlight off on his phone. "And she is alerting me to some objects around here. Hard to tell if she means things or people, but it is better than nothing."

The drones were keeping two to a pack like he'd designed them to do in emergency. Two of them whizzed by trying to scout ahead. One of them actually seemed frantic. Cisco frowned, he felt bad for them. That was normal wasn't it. In all the chaos, worrying about the drones too. They were just machines. Tony wasn't answering the question of whether he was okay or not, Cisco took that as a solid no and didn't press again just yet.

"Which way? Mine are haywire. I can't tell in here." It was that blind feeling returning to him again. He wasn't a fan. He chewed at his lip as he tried to keep close to him. "I swear if I get out I'm never saying no to home base again." He frowned, Tony would get out. He'd make sure he did, but Cisco wasn't so positive about himself. These sort of situations terrified him, and he was rusty as all hell with physical fighting. Unless he got to his powers first. Maybe then he'd be okay.

"If she is right..." Tony wasn't going to pretend to trust anything in that maze, including his own tech, "this way..." He gestured to the left of where they stood. "You good, dude?" Now that his mind was clearing, Tony grew concerned about his friend in the maze. He knew about Cisco's anxiety and could only imagine what the maze was doing to him. "You shouldn't be here," he said, shaking his head.

He nodded and waited for Tony to decide whether to trust his tech or not for a minute, then Cisco decided to take the first step. "Trying to get through and not stop." If he stopped, he was done for. Said anxiety would eat him alive. Cisco was much more the guy behind the computer these days. Fighting was not his style. "Neither should you, so lets get out." He offered, before they both drowned in anxiety and fear would be great. Cisco took a step forward, it felt like the air around him froze and for a moment so did he.

"...Something's there" He breathed in a barely audible whisper as he squinted into the darkness, unsure if Tony could see the figure in front of them but to him, it looked identical to Cisco. Except maybe his hair was a little slicker. It was down, pinned back tightly. "...You're dead." The face was a mirror image of Cisco's own, the body movement also the same but there was something off. The way the doppleganger smirked and stared head on at Cisco. Cisco took a step back. Every bone in his body tensed. "No thanks to you." It responded, the voice even matched Cisco's but there was no warmth there.

Tony's eyes followed the direction in which Cisco spoke. "Wha---" He cocked his head and tapped EDITH again, but he still saw nothing. He stepped closer to Cisco. "Hey, dude? Cisco?" He spoke calmly although he was concerned. He guessed his friend was experiencing a hallucination, just as Tony had. However, he had no idea if Cisco could hear him or not. He also knew better than to touch him in that state. "It's Tony. You hear me?"

Cisco's step back nearly resulted in stepping into Tony, which actually had helped. The figure in front of him dissipated as though it hadn't been there in the first place. The unfortunate side effect was Cisco suddenly felt like he couldn't breathe at all. "I didn't kill anyone." A shaky tone, his skin had lost color and he was forced to kneel down for a minute in the dirt as though his own weight had become too much to bare. He placed a hand on his chest for a second as if to try to help breathe or something. His head had cleared, but he needed a second to regain his bearings. He was having a full on panic attack, not fun or recommended by any means. He could hear Tony, but he couldn't respond yet.
