Burger Time!

It is Double Cheeseburger Day! Tony ordered a food truck for the building. It is parked in front of Ostrich's Villa from 5pm to 7pm. Menu consists of burgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, black bean burgers, regular fries, sweet potato fries, and non-alcoholic drinks.

[Feel free to write IC/OOC in the comments. It could be a good way to run into characters who don't normally interact!]

Freddy wasn't thrilled to return to school, but even he had to admit he was getting bored with so much downtime. He thought it would feel different if he had more of his family around, since, honestly, it could get lonely during the day, especially when Mary attended her college courses. Still, he had a few bullies in his time and part of him expected to run into people like them in Goodland. His first day went okay, but he still worried even with his friends telling him they'd protect him. Part of him wished he had his superpowers in Goodland, but a bigger part didn't want that experience without Billy so it looked like he'd have to handle bullies the old-fashioned way. He was, needless to say, excited to take a break from homework for cheeseburgers and fries.

Freddy + Jughead

Jughead didn't mind school. He was kind of glad to be away from Riverdale High and the ghosts that roamed the halls there. He enjoyed learning, though time would tell if his teachers were actually going to encourage and nurture that in him. He had a good feeling after the first day, but he knew things could change on a dime.

The food truck out front was a nice distraction, and he headed down to get a burger and fries. He'd have more than one, he'd probably eat until he felt sick. That was just how he was with burgers, because it was his absolute favorite food.

He grinned when he saw Freddy. "Hey. How'd your first day go?" he asked. He was one of the ones who would be willing to step up for Freddy if necessary, even if he hadn't outright said he would. Jughead was the type to stand up for someone when he saw bullying going on. He didn't tolerate it for a moment.

He saw Nico rushing off with fries so he figured he didn't want company just then. He didn't know where his other friends were and, truthfully, he felt awkward standing in line alone. He had been in Goodland for nearly three months, but it still felt weird that the adults outnumbered the kids when it was the opposite in his foster home back in Philadelphia. Freddy had no problem chatting on the web posts because he had time to think while he typed. In real life? He rambled and felt like he annoyed everyone. He did not feel that way with Jughead, even with him being a few years older than Freddy, so he broke into a grin when Jughead joined him. "Hey! It was okay! Nico had lunch with me, which is nice because no one had lunch with me at home until Billy came. How did your day go? Did you like it? Did you eat lunch with anyone?"

Jughead shook his head. "Nah. I'd rather sit alone and enjoy the down time." Lunch at school was where he really missed his friends. It was easier then to sit by himself, so his melancholy wouldn't wear off on anyone else.

"The rest of the day was fine. There's only one teacher I'm not sure about. Seemed a bit...full of himself. But there's usually one." Jughead shrugged. He'd been in school a long time, he'd had dozens of teachers. He tried to give them all the benefit of the doubt.

"Oh. I hated it," Freddy admitted. "Eating alone, I mean." He shrugged. "If you are in the same lunch as us and change your mind, you can sit with us! Unless it is embarrassing because we are freshmen." He knew that mattered to some people. "One of those that talk about themselves all the time?" Freddy asked regarding the teacher. "I had one who acted like he was a comedian at home."
