SUMMARY: Ostrich Villa residents wake up to an eerie, black sky. Dark ghost-like creatures confront those brave enough to venture out. Those confronted not only feel dread and cold when these creatures approach, but also face their worst fears. The creatures seem invincible; neither magical nor lay means kill them. The sun does not come up while the creatures roam Goodland.

CREATURE CONFRONTATIONS: Vanya & Five

His eyes shifted to the jewelry as the color changed, and he made a note, looking back at his sister and the way she laughed. Interesting, he thought, though he pushed further thoughts of it from his mind. For now.

Nodding, Five reached out and gave Vanya's hand a quick squeeze. "I'll get you some dry clothes, too." Then he took his hand back and pushed himself up to his feet.

Pulling down his sweater vest (maybe one day he really would get some new clothes, but that required more commitment than he currently wanted to give it, as well as more thoughts he didn't want to think), he nodded to the console with the coffee pot. "Help yourself if you want any. There's coffee in the cabinet underneath along with spoons, and I'll bring back some half and half."

And maybe a few other things, he thought, turning and pushing, disappearing from the lab.
