SUMMARY: Ostrich Villa residents wake up to an eerie, black sky. Dark ghost-like creatures confront those brave enough to venture out. Those confronted not only feel dread and cold when these creatures approach, but also face their worst fears. The creatures seem invincible; neither magical nor lay means kill them. The sun does not come up while the creatures roam Goodland.

Billy is going to try to keep things together at the consulate because no one needs a bunch of terrified government officials running around. He also intends to check on Audrey as soon as he’s able to break away. The fears that their ‘unexpected guests’ can show him are things he’s already currently processing. So that will just gradually slip into his daily life, though he’ll keep it as locked away as he can.

Jason will be going out with Dick and Tim to patrol. He’s going to find Freddy post-dementor-creature encounter and help him out. He’ll avoid any personal encounters with the creatures up until the very last day, at which point he’s going to have a very unpleasant set of memories revisited and ultimately have a psychotic episode.

Jonathan will force his swap into the Scarecrow to avoid it being triggered later. The Scarecrow can’t feel fear, so regardless of encounters, he’ll be responsibly coming down to the clinic to see if anyone has need of his services (without the mask). He will be there throughout the plot if anyone would like emotional support and/or sedatives.
