Thor’s favorite Midgardian holiday was Christmas. He enjoyed the whole season around it from the carols, to the twinkling lights, to the silly holiday specials. He had especially enjoyed his time with the cities new guest, such as Rudolph the Red Nosed reindeer. Plus, it had been fun to him to spoil his friends and family with special gifts and treats through out the season.

Still, Christmas was a messy ordeal, especially when you had a baby reindeer spending time with you, and Thor was determined to clean up. There was wrapping papers, and decorations everywhere (he himself had been guilty of leaving most of it around). He had been plucking up garbage, and vacuuming while his too lovely ladies were out and about.

He smiled, when the door opened and Valkyrie walked in. “Have fun?” He asked, shooting a ball shapped sphere of paper towards the garbage. “How is Aragorn?”

"He's been enjoying things way too much. And any kid who showed up at the barn spoiled him. He's going to be as large as an elephant if I don't do something about it." she rolled her eyes a bit.

Holidays were weird. She was on board with spoiling people but overall they still felt weird. She'd get there, likely, but for now she still felt a little like she was out of sync. She blamed herself, she had done a lot of big new things at once and internal panic happened.

Retreat to some hermit ways was just how it happened to manifest. "We made a mess didn't we?"

“Then he should be an even more fearsome stead.” Thor beamed, “I imagine it would be like… riding the Hulk into battle or something. The larger the stead, the more intimidating the effect.” But, for effect, Thor tapped his own belly. It had gotten smaller here, because he wasn’t just eating pizza anymore, but it still wasn’t what it had been before Thanos.

Thor moved across the room, and welcomed Valkyrie with a hug and a kiss to her temple before he surveyed the room again with a shrug. “It was good.” Thor said as he nodded his head, “The messier the room, the better the party.” Thor was just pleased to be able to spoil his family– that they were all together once again. This was the only holiday he’d had with his family intact and in a weird way… he even missed his father in those moments. Undoubtedly the man would have ruined everything with one simple word, but his absence was noticeable.

“I am excited to ring in the New Year, however.” Thor nodded. “And be done with festivities for a while.”

"Please don't encourage him - he is fearsome enough." she laughed, "plus he knocks me over as it stands. I do not need to be crushed under the weight of my own stead should he so choose to nap on me again."

She returned the hug and smiled. "And not a single person got stabbed." a small smirk, at least half of them were likely to randomly stab someone - out of spite, amusement, boredom or troublemaking. "Even with the sharp things that people got as gifts!" from Val, because she was awful at gift giving. Sharp things was her go to.

She, however, did not miss Odin, but she understood why Thor would, and perhaps others. "I look forward to some calm, and less running around trying to ensure people are fed or gifted or what have you. And go back to our usual mayhem and mischief."

“Maybe you should just be strong enough to hold his weight.” Thor teased lightly. There was no doubt in his mind that Valkyrie was strong than him, probably stronger than anyone he knew (especially since she *had* taken down the Hulk at least once). “Should he choose to nap on you, I will come save you.” He smirked.

“Yet,” Thor pointed out, still playful, “For all I know, Loki could have found a way to turn himself into wrapping paper or festive ribbon just to take another stab at me.” He was laughing though, at the image of his brother attempting to disguise himself among the Christmas wrapping, it would almost be worth getting stabbed.

“But first,there is the night of drinking and fire. I’ve heard talk of people dressing up and going out, is that something you’d like to do? I’ll find my nicest clothes.”

	She laughed softly, "Perhaps." she could, of course, shove her horse off her. But it was fun, sometimes, thinking she couldn't. Just being normal for once. "Yet. I would not put it past him. Thor wrapped his arms around Valkyrie playfully smirking at her. “Sometimes, I don’t know whose side you are on here.” He squinted suspiciously at her before laughing, “He thinks he is clever, but I am certain I would see him coming this time.” Of course, Thor rarely actually ever saw Loki’s betrayal coming which is what made it a betrayal in the first place.

“Is there any place you would like to try out in particular, or should we just see what Tony is doing?”

	Thor couldn’t help but laugh. This was true, she was very much between the two of them, which made it all the better. Valkyrie was a balance that the brothers needed, that Thor needed. “I see.” He smirked, “I’ll remember that later.” “Oh, of course he will.
