Pym had been doing his best to be extra helpful around the house. He had done his best to make sure any of the chores that needed to be done were done. He’d also been making extra sure to keep Robbie’s bedroom door was closed so that no one would see it for now. He didn’t know what else to do… but he was sure that it probably reminded Betty and Bruce that he wasn’t there, and he didn’t know what else to do to make them happy. They were basically his parents now too. Betty even painted his nails for him!

Baking a cake with Billy had been a good distraction too, and he was so proud of the way Bruce seemed to be happy when he ate it. There was still a surprising amount of cake left, and Pym was pretty hungry after cleaning up a little. He figured he could make some for himself, and maybe Lyra too if he ran into his pseudo-sister. Pym set about carefully cutting himself a piece of cake and putting it on a plate before sitting down at the table to enjoy his snack. He scooped a large spoonful into his mouth and looked up at Cassie, waving as she entered.

Pym had missed being the oldest a little bit, but Cassie didn’t really count because she was his niece, well, sort of. His parents had a daughter in this universe, and even if it like… wasn’t his sister… and Cassie wasn’t even really her daughter-- well, it was weird and didn’t matter. Cassie was his family anyway. He chewed a little bit, and made a face… this cake… was weird. He swallowed thick and frowned.

“This cake is awful! Why didn’t anyone say so!”

	"Yeah but..." Pym tilted his head a little bit as he pushed his spoon against the weird, lumpy cake. He examined it as if it were some weird sort of science experiment that had sat too long before scooping up another spoon full of the not-quite-chocolate, not-quite-cake thing. "Here, you try it. "DO YOU THINK WE CAN GET DONUTS?!" Pym grinned wildly at Cassie. He had a weird metabolism, what with the pym particles and all, and since coming to Goodland, it had surged itself in an almost constant desire for sweets. Part of that was probably because he never really had them back home.

"Make a donut tower or something! I bet everyone would think that was cool."

Pym couldn't smile any wider when she said that the donuts would be arriving soon. He flopped down next to Cassie and shrugged his shoulders. "I'm okay. Trying to help out a lot, I know that Dad-Bruce and Mom are still... well, you know, with Robbie gone and stuff." He shrugged his shoulders again. Pym had really liked having a younger brother (not that Lyra wasn't an amazing little sister) he just sort of wanted a little brother to look up at him like he looked up to James and Azari.

"What about you? Are you settling in okay? You like living with us, right?"

	"Sure I do," Cassie replied. "I mean I miss my parents, but you guys are like family too." She pulled her hair back and tied it with a rubber band she wore around her wrist. "I've been meaning to ask you something...your powers...were you born with them?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Pym nodded and he leaned over and gave Cassie a hug. "I'm sorry you miss your parents. Sometimes I think I would like mine to appear... but I don't know what I would do. I would be sad to leave Dad-Bruce and Mom and Lyra and you."

"As best as I know, yeah." He said with a nod. "Tony made me a suit, and I wore it a lot. It helped me focus my powers, because I wasn't super great at growing. Like, I could shrink really small, but I would have a hard time growing. ANd when I'm tiny, it helped me use the change in density to fly. Plus it had little guns so I could defend myself."

"I know but like... I don't know. It's just a lot more complicated with all the dimension and stuff. LIke sometimes I exist and sometimes Hope does, right? I guess? I don't really know how it works and like what if they expect someone else and then they get me? Not that I'm not great cause I am, but what if they don't even want me to come stay with them or something. It'll be weird."

"It could help! My suit is here, but I don't know if it'll fit you." Pym shrugged, "We could also practice together if you want. Geting small is easy for me, but getting big is like... I've only done it once."

	Cassie grinned. "Yes, you *are* great," she told her friend. "And I'd love that. I'm going to see who can make me a suit and then we'll practice? I need all the help I can get."
