Cassie's Arrival
WHO: Cassie Lang & Bruce Banner
WHERE: The ship
WHEN: Thursday morning
WHAT: Arriving
RATING: Low
STATUS: Threading

Cassie woke up in a strange room and was immediately smacked in the face with her letter. She read it several times. It said something about Goodland and had a map that looked like New York City. It said she had a guardian named Daisy. However, it did not say anything about being on a spaceship. Was she kidnapped? Was it Yellow Jacket? She probably should have been scared, but she was mostly curious, which was why she tiptoed out of her room in her pajamas and started looking around.

No one looked like they were trying to kill her. No, everyone looked...normal. The ostriches and tribbles, however, were definitely not normal. She frowned and made her way to the main area where she found a chair and stood on it. "EXCUSE ME? CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE? IS THIS AN AVENGER THING?"

"Summer camp doesn't sound so bad," she said. "And I'm good. I don't need to change." She'd rather hear what Bruce had to say. Her head was spinning with information, but it was hard to throw her since she grew up in a world filled with superheroes and aliens. "So this entity thing brings us from all different places and...times?" She cocked her head. "My dad...he is not here, is he?" It was too much to hope for.

"If you're sure." The ship should be pretty safe for walking. If she wanted to go visit a planet or something, that was definitely going to require shoes at least. "Unfortunately not. But you're catching on quick. He was here for a while. And I learned an awful lot, Cassie." Logically he knew she wouldn't remember any of this if she was returned home, but he felt like she deserved at least that glimmer of hope. "Cassie, your dad never blipped out. He was safe the whole time. Did he ever tell you about something called the quantum realm?"

Cassie's head snapped up when he mentioned Scott had been in the same pocket dimension she now was; that meant there was hope, right? "He never...he was safe..." She shook her head. "He'd visit me," she insisted. "What are you talking about? Are you...wait. Are you saying my dad was in the quantum realm?" She was smart and she was nosy so she knew a lot about Scott's background in science.

There it was. Any kid of Scott's had to be pretty smart, and it didn't take long for the realization to hit her. "He was. He definitely wouldn't have left you on purpose, Cassie, you know that." At least, he hoped she did. Bruce didn't know Scott well, but he did know that man loved his kid. "He was stuck in there when his friends got...blipped out." Even the word was weird to say. "There was no one to bring him back, no one else even knew he was in there, I guess." Not that Bruce wouldn't have loved to get his hands on that project, but that was a regret for another time, not when dealing with a grieving child.

The idea fascinated her and she wished she could talk to Scott about it. Still, the idea of her poor dad trapped there...

"Does he ever get out?" She asked. She couldn't bear the idea of Scott being trapped in the quantum realm forever.
