	I'm about to try sleeping off a pretty vile headache but Sam is most likely sitting at a bar drinking and Laura is out dancing because when she went the other day it was a 'school night' and bleh. 	Liz showed up dressed like this with heeled ankle boots and minimal effort put into her appearance aside from bright red lipstick. She had no problem getting out there to dance but mostly did it by herself. Would have glared and moved away from any non friends who tried to dance with her. 	Tea came out with Lizzie to have some fun. She did her Nothern Soul thing on the dance floor and danced with anyone who wanted to join her. She brought her own flask of booze so she wouldn't have to deal with the bartender and definitely found herself a shower buddy to take home. Whether it was an NPC or someone in the game is up to you! Lizzie was living her best life out on the dance floor. She had a few drinks in her so she was more relaxed than usual (even inner Lizzie was pretty quiet) and excited to be dressed up and celebrating the banishment of the villains. Her long hair started out down, but went up as the night went on. She was just glad she was wearing a skirt and a light shirt. The walk home would be killer thanks to the winter night, but it beat overheating in the club. She chugged from a water bottle and started using it as a microphone as she belted out one of the latest hits as the music blared.

Pietro hadn’t arrived much sooner than all the chaos, so he barely knew what Goodland was like without it. Not like he came from a place where fun and entertainment were a normal facet of life, but he was happy to take this new place and life in stride. Besides, there were plenty of pretty people in the club and he had a few drinks so he was having a good night. It could definitely get better, which is when his eyes fell on someone he thought might push it that way.

He zipped through the crowd to get to the cute blonde singing by herself, an easy grin on his face as he leaned in close enough for her to hear him. “You want to dance or you are having too much fun by yourself?”

Lizzie giggled. "My friends seem to have abandoned me," she replied, looking around and realizing they were all off dancing or getting drinks. She had been having too much fun dancing and singing to notice. "I'm Lizzie!" She called over the music. "And, yeah, let's dance! Whoo!" She had no idea who the guy was, but he was good-looking and she felt safe in the club surrounded by people she knew.

	“Pietro,” he replied easily, taking Lizzie’s hand and leading her further toward the middle of the dance floor. It was easy to get lost in the crowd that way, lost in the moment, the bass of the music thumping around them as his arm slipped around her waist to bring her in close. “Your friends abandoned someone so beautiful as you? He quirked an eyebrow at her question, giving a shrug of a shoulder and keeping her drawn in close as they moved together with the music. “I did not come here with friends,” he admitted easily, no problem with the truth. He didn’t require anyone tagging along to have a good time. HIs closest friend was his sister, and she was not an asset in situations like this, just as he would certainly not be for her. “I am here alone, though not anymore.”

Laura + Hugo

Going out twice in one week wasn't something that Laura usually did, but there hadn't been any denying the weird restless feeling that was crawling through her. She felt reckless and defiant, rebel without a cause, and it was a good thing she couldn't get drunk considering she was practically paying the bartender's entire wage tonight. She'd probably regret that later, but, oh well. Right now it was too fun to knock back another shot of mezcal, sweat forming beads on her skin and dampening the hems of her dress.

Hugo liked going out. He didn't always dance, but he liked mingling with people and drinking to relax after a long week. January, already a typically long month, was made longer by the unwelcome visitors so Hugo just wanted to kick back now that they were gone. He'd felt trapped while the villains were in Goodland, especially after nearly getting mauled by Scar.

He was hanging out near the bar when he noticed a familiar face - the woman who took his snake. "Oh, hey, Laura!" He called over the music. "How's it going?"

With her hearing Laura had no real problem hearing despite the background noise. She wasn't entirely sure how that worked; she would have thought the loud music would have drowned everything out, but instead she was able to distinguish between sounds, tune out the ones that weren't relevant, focus on the ones that were.

She was surprised to see it was Hugo that had gotten her attention - she didn't typically have a huge amount to do with all the Hogwarts wizards aside from the occasional few comments on the network. She didn't have anything against him though, so she pushed her empty shot glass back across the counter and waved off the bartender, turning back to where she could see the dance floor, angled a bit towards the wizard. "You know. Just getting out of the building now we can. You?"

Now there was a question. She'd been dancing with strangers plenty already, but it felt different dancing with someone she knew, someone who-- wasn't James. Then again, did the whole "too soon" thing even count when you got dumped for someone else? It was just a dance, anyway. It wasn't like she was going home with him.

"Sure, I guess." She injected a certain amount of casualness in her tone, like it wasn't a big deal. Because it wasn't. She wasn't the kind of girl who assumed that any guy who paid her a modicum of attention was into her, things were just weird right now. Break ups were weird. She hopped down from where she was leaning back against the bar, moving forward. "Was he singing when he tried to eat you?"

She took his hand without really thinking about it, their linked fingers connecting them like a safety rope in the crowd. Immediately her mind began to catalog the ways it felt different from James', the places where he had callouses that Hugo didn't, and she pushed the thought away with a surge of annoyance.

"Hyenas," she supplied instead. "They didn't sing, but they talked."

"These ones did. But I don't know about real ones. Real ones don't talk either." The laughing had been more than a little disturbing, actually - when they'd first approached she'd spoiled, a little, for a fight, but their high-pitched cackling had been unnerving. She was used to a range of reactions from the people - or things - she thought, but naked glee was not one of them. For some reason it had made her think of Hellhound.

It was easier to forget things like that while dancing though. She liked the rhythm of it, the way it felt a bit like fighting but without the destruction.
