status: in progress :)

Cisco was actually a little nervous about Christmas this year. His relationship was still new, so he hadn't asked directly about spending Christmas with them, so he figured to be on the safe side they'd spend the night before Christmas together. Not too intrusive he hoped. He knew Tony was doing Christmas things, he'd probably make an appearance over there as well, but as for what else? He had no idea. He left it mostly open, if nothing happened he would have plenty of Bourbon Eggnog. If something happened, great. The house was quite festive this year, more so than he'd anticipated. Over his own door there was red and green Christmas lights, as well as wrapped around the ceiling of their home. He was happy, for the first time in a long while he was genuinely happy. There were things he could be upset about, but he was trying not to dwell on the bed. Ninety percent of the things in his life were going well. There was always that little tiny voice that worried about the ten percent that always threatened to put the kibosh on them but he was trying to live in the moment. Trying not to be the world's most paranoid engineer.

He'd made eggnog and there were leftovers, why worry about the other stuff? ....Because he was home base. Because every time something awful happened it happened at Christmas. Cisco found himself reaching for his tablet while he waited for people to show up and nervously scanned the skies over Goodland on it via his satellite. He was still online. Hovering in space as far as he could get. Everything was still in tact. No baddie of the week, no awful Krampus threatening to punish them for enjoying their life. Everything was quiet. Cisco's anxiety began to fade again as he took another sip of bourbon. He was well on his way to buzzed. Happily shutting up that temporary anxiety attack with liquor. He had people coming.

He had to remind himself not to dwell and forced himself to put down the tablet. Cisco focused on the bourbon eggnog in his hand and drank a bit more of it. Internal crisis averted for the moment. All there was to do was wait for people

"Maybe we'll settle on slightly buzzed?" He grinned and gave that hand a swat. "Watch the hair." A half tease, he was protective of it. His hand fell back to rest on George's thigh. "I'm a bit of a light weight, theirs a chance I'm already mildly buzzed." A grin as he touched him. He wanted to do that more and more. He'd drank half that eggnog he'd given to George before hand. He was no light pour. "Think I'd use it for everything. Can't find the remote? Magic. Don't wanna clean my room? magic. Do the laundry? magic" He laughed a bit at the mundane things that came to mind. He hoped one day the entity would take them to George's home, he wanted to see Hogwarts with all his nerdy heart. He wanted to experience magic down to the core. His powers weren't really magical. At least, they weren't fun magic.

A pleased sound was muffled by those lips, he returned the kiss eagerly. "If it gets me more kisses like that I'll meet the Pope for you." He was left a wanting another, and tugged him in for a second before grinning. "Think I have an idea how you can make up all that questioning to me." Though really he didn't mind. He was just teasing him, but if it got him more attention like that it was worth it.

"Hm no, nothing solid. Have to stop by Tony's later in the evening and maybe see Barry at some point, but plenty of time for all. Especially when you cut out the walk time." Portals came in handy. "Tell me when and I'll be here."

"Don't really want to meet the Pope so you are free on that," he snorted with laughter. George knew who the Pope was, but really didn't have any interest. Muggle religions were not really in his wheelhouse. Now, if Cisco was willing to meet McGonagall than that was a different story. "But I am interested in learning how I can make all the questions up to you."

A faint humming noise escaped him as he let his thoughts wander to holiday nonsense. Without thinking he drained a decent amount of the egg nog as juggled the various parties and people in his head. "Tomorrow should be fine, for my family. Probably mid-morning or lunchtime." He ran a thumb across the outside of the mug as he rested his cheek against the top of Cisco's head.

"I didn't think I'd be enjoying the holidays again. Not so soon, but this place...you. Fred being alive. Things are actually nice. Great even. Bloody brill! Thanks, mate. For being a part of that." Oh yeah, he was getting buzzed as well.

"Also, can't fault you. Portal instead of walking. Here, here," he raised the mug like he was cheering.

"Oh good, I don't really want to meet him anyway." He grinned at the laughter, point was he'd do a few ridiculous things for him. As George leaned against him, Cisco's arms went around his waist to hold him there. He wasn't as worried about being with him. Maybe the magic gave him a little extra padding for his worry, Dick didn't have powers. Cisco having several made him uncomfortable. George didn't seem phased at all. In fact he'd found a place on his neck to kiss as they sat there. He didn't seem to mind the loss of his Bourbon Nog at all. He'd gained so much more to pay attention to. Being around him soothed his nerves even when they got all wonky.

"I hope so." His brows did knit a little in worry. He didn't want to mess things up with them. The last time he'd met someone's parent it'd ended weirdly. "You said before it was a first date for you when we went out, is this your first relationship too?" He had to ask, he didn't want to pressure him into anything he wasn't ready for, but Cisco enjoyed being able to touch him and wanted to do more of it.

"Honestly me either." He admitted sheepishly. "I was stuck in a bit of a rut before you came along." He gave him a gentle, but warm squeeze. "You're pretty cute when you're sloshed so you know." He laughed at the comment about his portals and nodded in agreement. At some point he'd tell him about the rest of his powers, but maybe not just yet. They'd scared the last one away.
