Who:Cisco and George
What:Christmas stuff
When:The day before Christmas
Where:Their place
Warnings:Idk if any yet will update if needed
status: in progress :)

Cisco was actually a little nervous about Christmas this year. His relationship was still new, so he hadn't asked directly about spending Christmas with them, so he figured to be on the safe side they'd spend the night before Christmas together. Not too intrusive he hoped. He knew Tony was doing Christmas things, he'd probably make an appearance over there as well, but as for what else? He had no idea. He left it mostly open, if nothing happened he would have plenty of Bourbon Eggnog. If something happened, great. The house was quite festive this year, more so than he'd anticipated. Over his own door there was red and green Christmas lights, as well as wrapped around the ceiling of their home. He was happy, for the first time in a long while he was genuinely happy. There were things he could be upset about, but he was trying not to dwell on the bed. Ninety percent of the things in his life were going well. There was always that little tiny voice that worried about the ten percent that always threatened to put the kibosh on them but he was trying to live in the moment. Trying not to be the world's most paranoid engineer.

He'd made eggnog and there were leftovers, why worry about the other stuff? ....Because he was home base. Because every time something awful happened it happened at Christmas. Cisco found himself reaching for his tablet while he waited for people to show up and nervously scanned the skies over Goodland on it via his satellite. He was still online. Hovering in space as far as he could get. Everything was still in tact. No baddie of the week, no awful Krampus threatening to punish them for enjoying their life. Everything was quiet. Cisco's anxiety began to fade again as he took another sip of bourbon. He was well on his way to buzzed. Happily shutting up that temporary anxiety attack with liquor. He had people coming.

He had to remind himself not to dwell and forced himself to put down the tablet. Cisco focused on the bourbon eggnog in his hand and drank a bit more of it. Internal crisis averted for the moment. All there was to do was wait for people

The scotch tape clung to his fingers in a truly annoying way. George used his teeth to rip the tape free of his fingers. Wrapping presents without magic was both amusing and irritating. The last piece of tape was stuck to the wrapping paper. A few presents later and he was admiring his work. They weren't that bad looking if he did say so! He shoved them under his bed for safe keeping until he could put them under the tree. Once that was complete he pulled his hair into a ponytail before making sure his ugly sweater tshirt was free of tape and paper. George gave himself a slight nod before leaving his room, securing it shut behind him.

The place was festive and he could smell various spices that reminded him of Christmas. "Seems like things are jolly in here," he commented in an amused tone. He walked over to Cisco and rubbed his nose against the other bloke's cheek.

"That cup in your hand smells boozy, mate. Where's mine?"

At some point he was going to have to visit his family. Oh, that reminded him! "Do you want to meet my family? Tomorrow or today. Or is that too fast?"

He was really trying to keep anxiety in check. Maybe it was good they were back in Goodland ever all, there was a possibility the shrink was still needed. Good things happening or not, anxiety didn't care. It snuck up on him and threatened silently. He had so much to be happy for, and was happy. He wished anxiety understood that, and yet it kept waiting for something bad to happen. His eyes kept darting down toward the little smart watch he wore on his wrist. Even though he'd put the tablet down, the watch still got notifications of badness should it occur. It was synced into everything.

Only when he felt that little nudge of nose against him did he actually smile. "Huh? Oh, here." He'd share. He didn't drink much, but apparently was embracing it a bit during the holidays. He held out the little mug of boozy goodness to him. "There's still some in the fridge too. I'll make you one." Where had this domesticness come from?...It was something he wasn't used to, but he had to admit he was enjoying it. And at some point wanted to do a little more than kissing. Things were progressing, and then came the family question and Cisco looked up at him cautiously. "Do you want me to? It's not too fast, I don't think? Is there a time limit on these things?" He had no real idea. If George was ready to invite him to things, he'd be happy to go.

He noticed a bit of remaining tape on his wrist and poked at it. "What's going on with this?" He asked with a bit of a laugh. The presents Cisco had gotten were under their tree already for George and a few other friends he hadn't seen yet. They weren't expert either, some looked like they needed a little help actually but he'd tried.

George happily accepted the mug of egg nog and took a large swig. The booze burned his mouth for a moment and he couldn't help the way he breathed hard out of his nose. "Merlin's tits," he finally said. "Are you trying to get me sloshed?" His tone was teasing and to show he wasn't fully serious he took another swig. This stuff was dangerous. His next sip was much smaller since he didn't want to get knocked on his arse quite yet by the festive drink. He also knew he needed some food.

A snort of laughter escaped him. "Shite if I know. I just know you make me happy and my family is happy you make me happy. Seems about right that you meet them, yeah? Course I picked the most stressful days of the year..." He raised an eyebrow and looked down at the tape on his wrist. Ah, he had not managed to get it all before leaving his room. "I was wrapping presents the muggle way. The tape and I...we did not get along. Thank Merlin I still have all my fingers." George slung an arm around Cisco's shoulder and wiggled his fingers in front of the bloke's face as proof.

"As for my family. If you want to meet them, I'm sure they'd be thrilled. They are overwhelming though and I can't exactly tell them to tone it down without a thousand questions." He pursed his lips together for a moment as he tossed some thoughts around in his head. "They mean well, but put us all together and it is like just noise. Loud happy noise that sometimes you want to run from." George took another swig of the egg nog as he tried not to dwell on how that noise had sent him running after Fred died. Fred was here, Fred was alive, everything was fine.

Everything was fine.

Cisco smirked at that exclamation as George seemed to enjoy thee extra strong pour of alcohol he'd given himself. "Maybe, problem?" He teased in response to the accusation as he tugged him onto his lap as the arm went around him. "Maybe I am trying to take advantage while you're drunk." Of course when they did actually end up sleeping together, he wanted them both to remember it so it was mostly a tease. His hand came to rest on his thigh. Idly toying with some of the fabric there. As George mentioned his problems with tape,he laughed a little and shook his head. "Clearly not." It was cute. "You didn't just use magic?" If he had magic he'd probably use it for everything. He gingerly pulled one of the bits of tape off and tossed it in a near by trash can he'd been using while mixing bourbon into all the things.

"Barry gave me a Scotch you should try with me later too." It was a fancy expensive one. Top shelf. George would probably appreciate a good liquor. "Present wrapping is not meant to be taken lightly." He teased as he rested his head against him for a minute there.

Thinking about the possibility of being overwhelmed by a hoard of Weasleys,he couldn't help but laugh. "I want to meet them."They were important to George, and so it was important to him. He was glad they were happy for them."My friends seem to share the same consensus..." Barry had even given them keychains with confessions of love on them, but Cisco was saving them for a time less stressful to give them to him. They hadn't even told eachother that yet, but the feeling was definitely growing there. Spending time with George made him feel happy and wanted. He didn't even want to give a voice to the anxiety he was internally dealing with. George was a good distraction.

There was a moment where he nearly choked on the egg nog before he burst out laughing. George tugged lightly on some of Cisco's hair as punishment for making him nearly die thanks to egg nog. "Careful, mate," he teased right back. "It takes a lot to get me drunk at this point." That was a sad truth. The amount of drinking he had done since the passing of Fred meant his tolerance was annoyingly high now. The problem was he had sought out drinking until the point of blacking out and after a time number of drinks it took just grew larger. He crossed his ankles and tried not to rest fully against Cisco as he watched him peel some tape off his wrist. His lips pursed into a thin line as he felt the faint irritation from the action, but it passed quickly. His skin sported a faint red mark in the shape of the piece of tape, but that too was fading quickly.

"I use magic all the time," he admitted. "Sometimes I like to just...not." Plus there was the whole he had spent years using his magic to mesh with his twin's. "One of the many reasons I taught myself stage magic. Nothing like some good ol' fashioned muggle tricks. And, uh, yeah. Trying some scotch sounds brill, mate."

A look of pure delight appeared on George's face when Cisco agreed to meet his family. Without a second thought, he covered the older bloke's lips with his own. The mug of egg nog was held out to the side as he snogged Cisco happily as a reward for agreeing to subject himself to the insanity of the Weasley family. When he finally broke off the kiss he couldn't help laughing. "Sorry, mate. I don't now why that made me so happy, but aces. My mum is totally going to pepper you with questions. It's just how she is." He flashed a grin before bringing the egg nog back to his lips to take another sip.

"Did you have any other plans for the holidays? I told my nephew he could stop by for a pint at some point. This place has been a bit...strange for us. Hugo has to deal with lots of people not actually knowing him yet."

"Maybe we'll settle on slightly buzzed?" He grinned and gave that hand a swat. "Watch the hair." A half tease, he was protective of it. His hand fell back to rest on George's thigh. "I'm a bit of a light weight, theirs a chance I'm already mildly buzzed." A grin as he touched him. He wanted to do that more and more. He'd drank half that eggnog he'd given to George before hand. He was no light pour. "Think I'd use it for everything. Can't find the remote? Magic. Don't wanna clean my room? magic. Do the laundry? magic" He laughed a bit at the mundane things that came to mind. He hoped one day the entity would take them to George's home, he wanted to see Hogwarts with all his nerdy heart. He wanted to experience magic down to the core. His powers weren't really magical. At least, they weren't fun magic.

A pleased sound was muffled by those lips, he returned the kiss eagerly. "If it gets me more kisses like that I'll meet the Pope for you." He was left a wanting another, and tugged him in for a second before grinning. "Think I have an idea how you can make up all that questioning to me." Though really he didn't mind. He was just teasing him, but if it got him more attention like that it was worth it.

"Hm no, nothing solid. Have to stop by Tony's later in the evening and maybe see Barry at some point, but plenty of time for all. Especially when you cut out the walk time." Portals came in handy. "Tell me when and I'll be here."

"Don't really want to meet the Pope so you are free on that," he snorted with laughter. George knew who the Pope was, but really didn't have any interest. Muggle religions were not really in his wheelhouse. Now, if Cisco was willing to meet McGonagall than that was a different story. "But I am interested in learning how I can make all the questions up to you."

A faint humming noise escaped him as he let his thoughts wander to holiday nonsense. Without thinking he drained a decent amount of the egg nog as juggled the various parties and people in his head. "Tomorrow should be fine, for my family. Probably mid-morning or lunchtime." He ran a thumb across the outside of the mug as he rested his cheek against the top of Cisco's head.

"I didn't think I'd be enjoying the holidays again. Not so soon, but this place...you. Fred being alive. Things are actually nice. Great even. Bloody brill! Thanks, mate. For being a part of that." Oh yeah, he was getting buzzed as well.

"Also, can't fault you. Portal instead of walking. Here, here," he raised the mug like he was cheering.

"Oh good, I don't really want to meet him anyway." He grinned at the laughter, point was he'd do a few ridiculous things for him. As George leaned against him, Cisco's arms went around his waist to hold him there. He wasn't as worried about being with him. Maybe the magic gave him a little extra padding for his worry, Dick didn't have powers. Cisco having several made him uncomfortable. George didn't seem phased at all. In fact he'd found a place on his neck to kiss as they sat there. He didn't seem to mind the loss of his Bourbon Nog at all. He'd gained so much more to pay attention to. Being around him soothed his nerves even when they got all wonky.

"I hope so." His brows did knit a little in worry. He didn't want to mess things up with them. The last time he'd met someone's parent it'd ended weirdly. "You said before it was a first date for you when we went out, is this your first relationship too?" He had to ask, he didn't want to pressure him into anything he wasn't ready for, but Cisco enjoyed being able to touch him and wanted to do more of it.

"Honestly me either." He admitted sheepishly. "I was stuck in a bit of a rut before you came along." He gave him a gentle, but warm squeeze. "You're pretty cute when you're sloshed so you know." He laughed at the comment about his portals and nodded in agreement. At some point he'd tell him about the rest of his powers, but maybe not just yet. They'd scared the last one away.
