Frowning at the sounds of what made up a horrible situation, one worthy of the books (not that she had read any of the Harry Potter books, but you know, phrasing), Buffy couldn't help but sympathise. She had been accused of murder back in high school. She'd even been expelled for it! But for her the charges had been dropped once everyone realised she was just, you know, a trouble student rather than a murderer. Getting back into school though? That was another battle entirely.
As for how she dealt with her own loss, Buffy exhaled a big breath, cheeks puffing out exasperatedly as she did so. "Slayed a lot of vampires. Every single one of them I could find. A couple demons, helped get rid of some nasty haunts that were cramping the style of some apartment complex that was being developed... learned how to banish angels in case that ever becomes a thing..." Shrugging unhappily, she looked to Sirius with an expression that showed she wasn't exactly pleased with herself for how she'd acted. "No sleep, lots of violence. Things got dark and twisted, which seems to be my go-to when I'm all moody."
Motioning to the bottle with a nod of her head, she added, "I know this stuff's easier but me and alcohol have a bad history. Plus it tastes just... bleh." Sticking her tongue out and scrunching her nose for good measure, she shook her head. "So, gratuitous violence it was for me. It didn't help in the slightest, but it gave me something to do until I got used to it. Until I could talk to my other friends here again, at least."
