The air was warm, but there was just enough of a breeze that the evening seemed pleasant. The flowers danced slightly as Cissa watched from her secure seat on the quilt. Naturally the quilt was shades of pinks and purples, with some yellow thrown in for good measure. The design looked simple from far away, but up close it was an intricate piecing that made sections look like flowers. She adored the quilt. Of course the quilt had been awfully expensive and now she was using it for her little picnics. Well, it if got ruined then she would just buy new one.
A slender hand smoothed the quilt before she flicked a ladybug off the expensive fabric. Ladybugs were not awful, but being a bug meant Cissa didn't want the dainty things on any of her things. Once the tiny creature was taken care of she glanced towards the china bowl of milk that was sitting securely between some decoration stones.
The sky was darkening slightly and there was still little sign of Caspian. That bothered Cissa for many reasons, one being that it was going to get dark soon. The other reason was that her kitten was missing. Lucius had gifted her Caspian and now she had gone and misplaced the tiny furball.
She pursed her lips before blowing out a puff of air upwards, disturbing the strands of hair around her face. "Silly Caspian."
Hopefully Vare would get there soon! Cissa enjoyed spending time with her friend, though she knew she wasn't spending as much time as she would have liked. Why did everyone insist on having jobs and such? Bella was always busy and so was Lucius. It wasn't fair! Cissa wanted them to spend more time with her. She wanted their affection and attention, that was not too much to ask. If this kept up then she would turn to her cousin Sirius for attention. Something she was sure both her husband and sister would very much dislike.
Suddenly a disgusted sigh left her and she threw herself backwards on the quilt. The crystal glasses clattered together, but she didn't care. Her gaze was on the sky as she listened to the sounds around her. No mewing yet and no sounds of Vare walking up either.
