so solid now you're like water

There was something peculiar about walking into Hogwarts again after being away for so long. Mary couldn't help glancing up at one of the many portraits that graced the wall. She hadn't realized how much she had actually missed the halls of her old school. Hogwarts had been solid, something she knew. She missed the fact it was unchanging. The real world was clearly nothing like she had thought it was going to be like. In her many plannings she had never once foreseen that she would get high and end up fired from her job. Well, she had always pictured herself working at the Ministry or some such, and not a lowly bookstore.
Now she didn't even work at the bookstore. At the moment she wasn't as wound up as she was after being fired. Though it pained her to admit it, but Sirius had helped her calm down and loosen up slightly. She was a tad ashamed to admit that he had allowed her to get, well, high. Getting high was, of course, the very reason she had gotten fired in the first place. Yet it had been a surprising pleasant experience to just relax for once in her life, added bonus that she didn't wake up with tattoos.
Finally her steps took her to the statue that Dumbledore had told her about. She cocked an eyebrow in slight curiosity as she stared at the statue. She had never actually been in the Headmaster's office before. Casting a quick glance around, to make sure no one was watching, she leaned forward and studied the statue. Was it supposed to move? Now that she thought about it, she wasn't entirely sure Dumbledore had said what to do after she got to the statue.
