"Well," he said simply, a soft sigh escaping him alongside the word with some finality as he tapped his fingers against the wooden box in his hands, "thankfully after this you won't have to live up to anyone's expectations any longer. You'll simply be able to live them." No more pretending. He couldn't even imagine how difficult it was for her.
"But there's time for you to come to terms with all of that." Moving by her, he held the door open for her with a soft nod. "Just down this hallway, fourth door on the right. You've got a lot of memories to get back."
