Who: Oliver Wood, and Cormac & Simon McLaggen.
What: hanging out keeping Simon entertained.
Where: St. Mungos.
When: Saturday after the Appleby’s game.
It had been a long day for Cormac, and he couldn’t quite put his feelings into words. They’d won the game, Cormac felt like he was on top of the world when he walked into the locker room to change out of his uniform. Everyone was excited and chattering when someone stepped into the locker room with a solemn face. They’d announced the damage to the Falcon’s pitch, and that there had been a few injuries but nothing fatal. And then, the man stepped closer to Cormac. Cormac’s heart was already in his throat, and the man’s hand came up to squeeze his shoulder. “Your wife and your Brother, Simon, are among the injured.”
Cor didn’t hear anything else. He moved away, quickly changed without showering and wrote an angry note in his journal. He made his way to the hospital and a fight broke out between him and his wife. He shifted, and walked passed her room. He’d lingered long enough to check to make sure she was fine, but she’d made it clear that she hadn’t wanted him to visit, hadn’t she?
Simon still needed him though. He sat in the room, trying to make up games for them to play while writing to people on his journal. He was getting angry when Oliver had stepped in and put an end to his bickering. He chewed his lip and sighed. Oliver was coming, which might help. Cor was having a hard time keeping Simon awake.
By the time Oliver arrived, Cormac had managed to secure a deck of cards from a lovely nurse who’d been walking around. “We can play goldfish? Pretty easy card game a muggleborn taught me in school. You know the game?” He asked his eyes moving from Simon to Oliver and back again.
