It was a nice thing to hear that Evan certainly didn't care about what she could do. Of course, many others had told her the same thing, only to change their mind later on. However, many others weren't Evan Rosier. He was certainly one of a kind stock, much like herself. And Lilith wasn't saying that because she thought she was some unique little flower. But she had done things, just like he had done things, that the rest of the world couldn't dream of. And she had to admit, he had a sticking point with his admission - that he tended to say exactly what he thought in that moment, no matter what the topic. So it was easy to believe him in this instance, but only time would truly tell.
Once he was seated as well, Lilith returned his smile, her fingers gliding gently over the tablecloth to her napkin and following suit. It would be tragic to get something on this dress. It may have looked simple, but it cost a hell of a lot of money.
"I'm a sucker for Chardonnay, if I'm being honest with you. Wines that are too sweet tend to lesson the impact of anything else they're paired with. But you're right... the pairing matters. It always will."
Looking down at her menu for a moment she turned it over, scanning the list of delicacies. Everything looked so utterly mouth watering. "You really have outdone yourself this evening, Evan. How will any other date from here on our compare?" she was teasing, of course, but it was also true. She doubted Apollo Savage or Eddie Carmichael really had the foresight, or the funds, to pull off such a thing. Then again... they were still young. And while age didn't bother her by any means, there was something quite nice about a man who wasn't still trying to find himself.
