I have a question: Is there an art technique to make furniture look 3D in artwork? I am asking b/c 1) I am not an artist, and 2) The bed that Severus is kneeling on I only saw as such from the fact that he *is* kneeling, and yet at Harry's height, so I realized that there must be a height compensation for the kneeling factor.

I am just wondering if there is an artist's method to show this.

So my first reaction was 'so are they in like some cave in the middle of nowhere or something?' Than I was like 'oh.. oh it's a canopy bed clearly Sev's because this is not Harry's bed (in Gryffindor Tower)' then I was like 'omfg SNAPE SLEEPS IN A CANOPY BED'
