Author's Note: Happy New Year, ravenna! Thank you so much for the prompt. This story kind of took on a life of its own, and I don't think that would have happened if I hadn't tried a Snape POV for the first time. I hope you enjoy the results.

I don't know how any gay man or straight woman could *not* be a fan of the All Blacks. Such hotness. Spider is right to be proud of his jersey and fond of the memories of how he acquired it. (I've never been partial to the idea that the person in the pairing with him is the only person to "get" how attractive Snape is. Just doesn't make sense to me.)

I think Snape's love for Lily (which here is purely platonic) is the key both to his character and many of the events of the story.

And library sex is hot ...
