Author's Note: Happy New Year, ravenna! Thank you so much for the prompt. This story kind of took on a life of its own, and I don't think that would have happened if I hadn't tried a Snape POV for the first time. I hope you enjoy the results.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it!

I'm not a geek myself, but I live among them and I always thought of Snape as pure geek, from his long greasy hair to his refusal to suffer fools gladly. The transition was surprisingly smooth.

It's interesting that you picked up on the first "incendio" scene. It wasn't in the original loose outline; in fact the line itself was suggested by Spider's idle threat a few lines earlier. But when I wrote it, the whole backstory sort of fell into place for me.

Thanks for the recs, but more for enjoying the story.

	Mmm, and I've been thinking about the story all day. The scenario really stayed with me, and I've been re-living my favorite parts in my head, until I get a little time free (tomorrow probably) to re-read it again! Thank you again! The story is simply awesome. (Reply to this) (Parent)
