This was magnificent!

There are so many things I adored about this, but I will just note a few. The HBP crush, then relationship had me warming to your way of dealing with the traditional Harry/Snape enmity issue with which all Snarries must grapple. The development of their relationship was slow, rich, and full, both IC, yet plausible. You could feel the warm growing between the boys, and the heat between the older Snape and Harry.

Your parallel HBP/DH reality actually covers a few gaps that JK left in her telling. Having Harry aware of the machinations of Dumbledore and Voldemort (and Draco, etc), give another layer of tension/despair/hopelessness to the story.

The dialogue was enchanting: witty, mature, yet realistic, considering you have two Snapes to paint, and they are both treated sympathetically, yet giving so much insight into their personalities (and mainly through dialogue--very difficult, but very well done!).

I am not even going to begin to quote some of my favorite lines--suffice it to say, I adored and chortled (or guffawed) over every other line of dialogue.

I was captivated by this during the anonymous reading, and was delighted, but not overly surprised when I found out you had written it!

*hugs* Thank you so much! I loved the challenge of writing this story so I'm very pleased that the various characterizations worked for you!
