I'm also slow on the uptake for this one, but you've just outdone yourself this time!

To begin with, there's HBP-crush-fic, which makes me happy. I love the fact that Severus is into "men, not boys" ("I know exactly what you want, and I didn't get it at your age either," I could picture and hear with awesome clarity); and what's especially excellent (and you don't really see this in too many Snarry fics) is the fact that Severus sees it as a, well, potential issue that he was the one who told Voldie-darling about the prophecy and feels a smattering of guilt about getting off with the boy he helped orphan.

That Harry and Snape spend a long time oscillating rather uneasily between the book-buddies relationship and the student-teacher one just ends up adding fantastic tension. And it is such a great advantage that part of Snape's affection for Harry comes from an earlier, more forgivably passionate time of life; it seems to assist the pair in relating to each other.

I love the extent to which it follows canon: meeting up with the books at key points, but then adding great (and much, much hotter) scenes in between. Oh yes, and the sex. First-times sometimes make me happy (aside from the prince's worst first time ever, hee!) because someone - usually Harry - is so intent on the newness and the sensations that the writer can get a lot of delicious descriptions in.

Which brings me to: the sex is hotttt! And I lol'd far too many times for my flatmates to think I was doing homework for real:
Harry went still. Partly because Snape was nearly crushing him back onto the desk and partly because he had to absorb the idea that he'd just made Snape come. Or at least he was pretty sure he had--the sticky wetness spreading between them wasn't neatly labeled.

You are a gem, I tell you.

Absolutely fantabulous. I loved this so much. [info]salvadora's comments, just above mine, point out many of the major reasons this fic is so awesome, I found myself agreeing very much!
The ending was really lovely, and the start, with "Harry was squinting at one that might be improvement to Draught of the Living Death, or simply a really cracking recipe for brownies, when Ron came back from his shower" was a good funny to lure me in farther. ;D

Two more that I saved while reading:
An old potions book. Brilliant if sarcastic comments scribbled in the margins. Jinxes and hexes that Hermione had warned him might be dark. Snape's book. And Harry had taken it to bed with him.

He cock was pressed against Snape's, heels meeting somewhere around his back and it felt good, so good to rock against something hard that pushed back against him, harder, harder, shoving him back onto the desk.

I also adore: "If I was any more possible, we'd be naked." Hee! Great fic! *memories*

This was magnificent!

There are so many things I adored about this, but I will just note a few. The HBP crush, then relationship had me warming to your way of dealing with the traditional Harry/Snape enmity issue with which all Snarries must grapple. The development of their relationship was slow, rich, and full, both IC, yet plausible. You could feel the warm growing between the boys, and the heat between the older Snape and Harry.

Your parallel HBP/DH reality actually covers a few gaps that JK left in her telling. Having Harry aware of the machinations of Dumbledore and Voldemort (and Draco, etc), give another layer of tension/despair/hopelessness to the story.

The dialogue was enchanting: witty, mature, yet realistic, considering you have two Snapes to paint, and they are both treated sympathetically, yet giving so much insight into their personalities (and mainly through dialogue--very difficult, but very well done!).

I am not even going to begin to quote some of my favorite lines--suffice it to say, I adored and chortled (or guffawed) over every other line of dialogue.

I was captivated by this during the anonymous reading, and was delighted, but not overly surprised when I found out you had written it!

GUH!

Love this love so much. I've read magical book fics before and I really love the idea, but this is done so well.

And the smut was so hot too, I love the adaptation of books 6 & 7, much preferable ending.

Fave bit was probably Draco's cameo, actually, just because of the way I imagine the look on his face at the kiss. :D Thank you for more great fic.

This is lovely - tender & sexy & very, very moving - and entirely convincing! I think it's one of the best snarry stories I've ever read - I'm immediately tagging it as a favorite!
Wonderfully written - a beautiful story!

Eeeee! I'd heard this one talked about during the fests, and I finally got the chance to read it and I just love it! The plot *works*, it's fantastic, and I'd forgotten how wonderful a real, solid plot can be. I also adore teenage Severus, and having him interact with Harry in a manner so reminiscent of instant messaging was delightful. And then when present-day Snape discovered who he'd been talking to all those years ago - wow! I just really, really enjoyed this one from top to bottom. YAY!

I really, really loved this story. It was funny and sweet and hot. Wonderful twisting of canon, and for once a believable explanation of how Severus and Harry's hatred for each other changed. (I always knew they'd get on famously if only they could for once forget who they are.) And did I mention hot? Just the right thing to get warm in this miserable, cold German winter. *shudders*

So, after reading I went and checked who'd written it, and my first reaction was, 'I should have known.' I mean, it's a great story and I enjoyed it enormously, so who else could have written it?

And I mean that seriously.

Excuse me while I go and squee a little more over this wonderful tale.

*squee*

So, Snape invented instant messaging?! I can't stop giggling at the thought.

Your story hits the plotlines of the books beautifully. This is a kinder, gentler Snape than I'm used to reading. Still, lovely. I enjoyed it.

Fabulous job on this. Your pace with the story was fantastic. And, while I'm not usually one for Harry bottoming you made it great. Especially at the end when they cuddled and the exchange between them was really cute/funny. You had just enough fluff! :)

This is absolutely beautiful. Love the idea of the Potion textbook allowing people to communicate across time. If only canon had followed this course of events. :)

Oh, I *loved* how this story ended! It has to be one of the best Snarry stories I've ever read. Thank you so much for sharing.
Have one of mine in thanks - it's only a drabble, so shouldn't take up too much space.

Amazing, stunning story. I love the way you just change one little thing and it ends up changing the whole story, while still weaving so well with canon. Probably the best post DH fic I've read.

Holy Hell on wheat bread.

Honestly, Snape/Harry isn't my cup of tea but this story just made me feel light headed and giggley and just... There are no words.

Thank you. Stories like this remind me why I read fanfiction in the first place. It was magical. =)
