First, I'm so glad to see this in the Games!

What an original set of circumstances they live in--their journey to get there was similar to other fics, but the unique life they now have makes me think of Prairie Home Companion and goodness and the fine old country life! Severus as a radio announcer is just downright sex-ay; Mary Anne was a great original character, full of sass and played off Harry perfectly. The dampening potion was genius so Severus could work in the broadcasting booth was genius, and the notion that Death Eater grandchildren would avenge their elders was a chilling one.

It was great how Hermione had seen to having the 'locals' protect them, and the relationship between Harry and Severus felt warm and real; I do love established relationships that show how comfortable they've become with each other, how they've changed, yet still are the same.

You had some wonderful dialogue in this; one of my favorite lines, though, was this one: Those stories you hear about witches dancing in the full moon and all that crap? Well, there’s sort of truth to it, though I’ve never danced in the moonlight, except after a Patriots game, and drunk off my ass.” Heeeeeee!

And I got a huge lump in my throat at your last line of the story: Somewhere, a dog sighed.

So very well done, my Snitch! You did us all proudQ

A really wonderful established relationship story. Loved that Harry and Severus carved out a happy life on their own terms.

When I read the summary I wasn't too sure, but this is such a uniquely original idea, I've fallen in love with these two in this setting. :D

I was totally unprepared for Mary Anne to be magical but really pleased that they weren't all alone. I'm having my suspicions about Raphael now, he's not some kind of animagius or magical dog?

Have thoroughly enjoyed every minute reading this.

Oh, if only Severus were on NPR! Wonderful life they have there in Vermont. Mary-Anne was a fun character and good on Hermione for having some folks keeping their eyes on the boys. I just loved the little details like Severus learning to drive, the magic dampening potion so he could work, Harry helping rescue hikers. Really fun fic. Great job!

It's lovely to just see them happy sometimes. Great story.

When all the townspeople suddenly whipped out their wands, I was half expecting Raphael to reveal himself as... something. Whatever :)

What a lovely little story! I love their relationship, that bit of suspense, the quiet life of the village, the doggy and the undercovered wizards but best of all: Sev's voice and his job. Sure I would be that kind of silly fangirl :D groping his arse, OMG :D

Really lovely story and very unique. It is nice when reading through fanfic to find stories where Harry and Severus do something different... where they aren't just and Auror and a Potions Master. I could totally see Severus becoming a radio host, especially on Public Radio. And Harry as an outdoorsy, Quidditch loving youth who camped all through book 7 would obviously know about hiking and such outdoors stuff.

Great story, really enjoyed it.

Clare

What a cute story! Mary Anne is great, and I love how completely oblivious they both are to all the wizards/witches around them. : )

So many tiny details made this so warm and familiar. I especially loved Raphael sitting on feet (they are so possessive that way), and Sev's mention of St. Martin's in the Field reminded me of hearing that so often on the radio.

Applauds and whistles wildly!

Oh, I'm so in love with your story! Their established relationship and unknowningly being surrounded by wizards and HERMIONE! I love that girl. This is exactly the kind of thing she would do too. The dog. *luved the dog* What a fabulous use of your prompts.

And when anybody has Severus saying, "My Harry" - they earn my undying devotion for life. :)

SO GLAD your story got posted for our Team. Go Snitches!

I loved this idea!!! I love NPR, and would adore to have a host as subtly snarky as Severus, and I was melting imagining his voice. I also loved that he encouraged people to listen to the CBC--too funny.

I loved the life they created for themselves, and the tenderness, protectiveness, affection and support they had for each other. And of course Hermione wouldn't let them go unprotected, also a great idea.

Totally fun story--just great.

Oh, that was truly an enjoyable read.
I loved Severus' job (MAN, NPR should get him to be an announcer, they'd make a killing *g*) and Harry's was fun (and a great fit) as well. In fact, I think you came up with tow really prefect and unique professions for them.
The care for each other and devotion to each other really shone though.
Of course Hermione was making sure they were taken care of. Heh. Smartest witch of her age and all that. Why wouldn't she?
Also? Raphael? Smartest doggie ever! Although I really thought he was someone's Animagus form. *g*
Great story.
