Author Notes/Disclaimers/Betas: Should I have warned for a distinct lack of overt sex? If you've come looking for pr0n – sorry. The plot-bunny grew to the size of Tyrannosaurus Rex on steroids and kind of took over. / The Harry Potter world and characters are the sole property of J.K. Rowling, Scholastic, Bloomsbury, and Raincoast Books, and Warner Bros., Inc. I make no money from writing fanfiction. / Thank you to my plot-bunny wranglers, Lesyeuxverts, Leela Cat and Klynie, and my betas, Klynie and WhiteCotton

Summary: From the private journal of John. H. Watson MD; not intended for publication. Being an account of the strange case of the Fourth Deathly Hallow; in which Dr John H. Watson and Mr Sherlock Holmes save a life, discover the true secret of Professor Moriarty, unravel a time loop or two, encounter a femme fatale, imbibe potions, break into and out of a wizarding mansion, hide in a male brothel, go shopping, track down a magical artefact, almost attend a ritual sacrifice, fail to be Obliviated and totally ignore the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692, all in the company of a lank-haired, irascible but secretly besotted schoolmaster, a bemused aristocrat and an increasingly perceptive and enamoured young hero.

This story.... is Unbelievable! From first to last word it's pure genius! I did not just love everything about this story, but I was amazed and astonished, every step of the way. Watson's language was perfect and so much fun to read! I can't tell you how every sentence gave me so much pleasure to read it.... Everything that was said by any character was perfect.... not only that the characterization of each was incredible but they were saying some things that were so clever and interesting and... I don't know how to describe even what I mean, but it was all so clever that it was just shocking! :-) Shockingly clever is what it was! lol My brain was twisted into a pretzel when Holmes explained his reasoning and how he found the watch... I just can't believe what a perfect, wonderful, intelligent...story this is! The story of Snape and Potter was perfection and so gratifying and fulfilling and emotionally charged - absolutely no pr0n was missed. I just loved the little observations at intervals about them that moved their story along so efficiently and beautifully... I think with a combination of a mind and a talent like yours, *you* are "dangerous and powerful" like Snape! lol And the ending was greatness itself - totally leaves the way open to more adventures, and ... basically it was a final astonishing genius thing in the whole series of astonishing genius things that is this story. You gave me hours of pleasure and happiness! And since I'm such a slow reader, it was quite a few hours! Thank you. (Btw, the Snarry part was completely fulfilling. I'm still high on those words about Snape's open and vulnerable look... :-))

Ooops! You're right, I DID miss your comment! I'm sorry about that, because it is a lovely, heart-warming and thoughful response and I'm grateful that you took the time to tell me what you thought. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. I'm glad I got the level of Snarry right - I was a bit concerned that readers would expect more of the relationship, but I don't think that would have worked, not from Watson's POV anyway. Thank you for your comments!
