Thank you again for the incredible beta! (And I'm still tremendously chuffed that we managed to prompt actual nightmares, muahahaha!)

A Snidget struck us as a natural choice for Harry, but you're right, Snape wouldn't have been so immediately protective about a creature which was less fragile and harmless and rare.

It's a huge relief to hear that the cute/light parts worked for you as well as the dark/horrific parts. Combining both in the one story always runs the risk that one or both won't work.

Oh, the lads had to end up together - we figured we'd put them both through enough of a wringer earlier in the story!

And it's a relief that you felt we managed to pull off (pull out?) the final confrontation - and that the outtake worked. This is the first time we've included an outtake in any of our stories, and it was hard to predict whether the gamble would pay off.

And hey, how could we not use the Snitch? It was such a touching bit of canon, as well as a reminder of a great Team! :D
