Impressive! Thrilling. Enthralling. And damned scary!

Here, then, he thought. Here is where I begin to avenge you, my many-times-great grandfather. Here is where I demand the weregild for the blood spilt by Salazar Slytherin and Godric Gryffindor. Ásmundr, Svartætheling of the Northern Blood, Dark Lord from whom I am descended, they shall pay your blood-price—with interest.

Yikes! Hrafn Hjorulfsson wasn’t your usual run-of-the-mill villain. He wanted some serious payback and for a while there I was shaking in my boots, fearing that he might have won. You provided a great backstory on him, really fleshing him out and making him a fearsome foe. However I was disappointed he wasn’t brought to justice at the end, instead he just sort of disappeared after setting everything up.

Ásmundr, the Well of Souls, the Niðstang, and all of the Norse mythology were fascinating and very well written.

"He was a Dark Lord, every bit as lethal and destructive as Voldemort," Snape answered. "He was Viking, and a contemporary of the Hogwarts Founders. Salazar Slytherin and Godric Gryffindor put paid to him and to his army of Inferi. This archaeologist that told both Harry and Draco of the Well is his descendant. Knowing the Vikings, it is likely that Hrafn Hjorulfsson seeks to avenge Ásmundr, possibly even to return him to some facsimile of life. A descendant of a Norseman who has been killed will often seek vengeance. The more I think on this, the more this seems to be the motivation for the stirring of such discord."

Snape! Snape da man! I’m glad someone was wise to what Hjorulfsson was trying to accomplish.

Snape now stood, straddling him, hurling off curse after hex.
Snape launched off another barrage of nasty enchantments.
Draco and Snape were trading spell for spell now, and the battle was a horrible one.
Snape barely spoke. There were few spells that he could not cast silently.
It was all he had time to say as he continued the terrible duel with the thing that had possession of Draco's body.

The battle scene at the end totally pwned me! I absolutely loved reading it. Snape! Snape! Snape! He totally rocked in the final fight! Snape in action, casting spell after spell, taking down Possessed!Draco was fan-freakin’-tastic! The whole showdown sequence was the highlight of the story for me. It was wonderfully written, full of great action-packed descriptions of the heated confrontation between the good guys and the bad guys.

Thanks for an exciting and riveting story! Great work! Kudos!

Thank you for the kind words.

The reviews for the stories I’ve read were well deserved. You and the other great writers have shown such an incredibly high caliber of creativity and imagination in your stories. Some them, like yours, really just blew me away. You and all of the other participants have been fantastic, your kudos well earned. Y'all did great!

Many thanks!

This work...

... was not written by the person claiming it as her own work. She hired a ghost writer, and that writer was me. I am able to prove it.

I am going to be using the name 'Hrafn Hjorulfsson' in a forthcoming work of my own, and I want this story taken down.
