Young Severus seems like the type to get into punk rock. And this was a nice way to give Harry and Snape - two half-bloods - something non-magical to bond over. I wanted this fic to offer just as much 'muggle' magic to counteract the generations of pureblood traditions, artefacts, and spellwork that the ministry used for its own propaganda.
