Such a complex story. I desperately needed to pee, but I could not tear myself away until I finished. (TMI, I know)
You are a master of misdirection. Until you told me I did not realize that Harry could not speak of Severus. Everyone elses' concern about Harry suddenly became clear.
Muggle psychiatry, a sentient castle that can make an avatar for itself, Binns as a major player, excellent characterizations of Severus and Harry. Whew!
