I don't like the Au/ar divide myself. It seems somewhat artificial to me, and very confusing. Reading those defs I'm still not sure if 'Master Snape's Community' is AU or AR. Maybe I'm just being dense, but I'm probably not the only one. I DO like stellamoon's idea for teams! Angst v Romance v Crack/Humor. A team Humour would do the fandom the power of good - we need perking up after the horror of DH, which I, for one, still haven't quite got over. As a participant in both previous Games, I preferred Angst/Romance to War/Postwar, tbh; but that's just my opinion *shrugs*. I think 3 teams would work really well, perhaps become more like a 'true' games, with less adversarial stuff against your opposing teams, because there's 2 of them. If that makes any sense at all. I voted for July for a couple of reasons: 1 - it's furthest from the huge Christmas fest-o-rama, and everyone might just have finished with those by then ;-) 2 - A lot of folk have a bit more time then - time off work/uni/school - to read/hopefully review. 3 - I do like the idea of a prize for comments, but not just for 'oh, great!' or 'wow!'. Maybe there could be one for most insightful/thoughtful reviews or something. I do take on board the thought that it might make fandom more adversarial, but the whole idea of the Games is a bit that way too. The anonymous divide is really interesting. I DO very much like posting anonymously for several reasons, not least being able to try new approaches and levelling the playing field for all teams. There will be newer writers in the Games, as well as some very famous ones (whose fame is well deserved), but if we're trying to make the Games so that everyone starts from a fixed point, that has to be helpful imo. As long as there's a nice big reveal at the end, of course. And that adds to the excitement, keeps people involved throughout. Writing/painting time? I'm easy with any of them. But the more time we get, the longer we can think, tweak and take the pressure off our betas. I'm so excited the Games lives. I'm sure you learn tons each time you do it. One thing you got very right - the winners of each Games are the fandom. Let's keep Snarry alive! Here's to an even better THIRD SNARRY GAMES. *hugs all who are working so hard on this*
