Severus stared deeply into Harry’s green eyes for what seemed an age, and with a gentle sweep of his hand, closed them forever.
"I'm sorry I arrived late. If only I could have spoken with you alone, you would have known, and you could have told me where you were going."
He began to fight back a tear. "You were always one to act first, you stupid… Well, the prophecy is now complete, but I can assure you, the fight is not finished. He’ll see his end soon." Severus drew Harry close to his chest one last time and wept.
