A/N: With thanks to [info]florida_minxie for the help! *smooches*

Sevvy played happily with Dragon in his corner of his godfathers shop. Dawde lay next to him, watching as Sevvy carefully put Dragon's robes on. Daddy and Papa were shopping with Lulu for his birt'day presents. Sevvy promised to be good and not touch any of the brightly-colored magic-stuff.

A shadow loomed over him and Sevvy looked up as Dawde growled softly. An old man with funny eyes slowly crouched down beside them. The man cautiously patted Dawde's head, before slowly reaching his hand out towards Sevvy. The man's magic seemed good.

"Young Severus James, may I feel your magic?"

Harry fidgeted as Hermione fussed over Laurel. Severus had escaped into the apothecary when the witch had pounced on them, hugging each of them as she flashed an engagement ring. Cringing as Hermione patted his daughter's head and pinched her cheek, Harry waited for the bushy hair to turn orange.

"…and you are as smart as you are lovely, aren't you? Would you help Auntie Hermione by being flower girl at my wedding, Laurel?"

Harry groaned as Laurel tugged at his hand. With a sigh, he lifted her and nodded.

"Yes, my little princess, you will be beautiful!"

Laurel beamed.

Laurel waved bye-bye to Auntie 'erminny. Daddy's friend was nice and very smart, but she talked faster than Granny Molly did! She knew it made Daddy happy for her to help Auntie, even if Laurel wasn't sure what kind of flower she should be. Maybe Sevvy could be a flower too, so that he didn't feel left out.

Patting Daddy's cheek as they went hunting for Papa, Laurel looked down to make sure the bag of choc'late was still under Daddy's arm. It was her present for Sevvy's special day tomorrow and Daddy said she'd have a birf'day soon, too.

Severus escorted his husband and daughter into WWW before stopping abruptly. Mr. Ollivander sat beside little Severus, holding Dragon as the toddler babbled at him. The elderly wandmaker beamed as his son jumped up and ran to Severus. Without seeming to move, the man was patting Laurel's cheek.

"Excellent, my boys! Powerful and Sensitives, Laurel even more so than young Severus. Eileen must be proud of you, Severus Snape!" The man walked off muttering. "They'll need wands early. Perhaps holly - no, blackthorn? No, perhaps…"

Severus exchanged a bemused glance with Harry as Sevvy burst into giggles.

"Strange man, Ollivander."

Harry luxuriated in the opportunity to simply lay in bed and stroke his husband's hair. The encounter with Mr. Ollivander had unsettled both of them as had his rambling pronouncements. Both of them had recognized their children's Sensitive abilities, but the wandmaker had referred to Severus' mother – was it possible she too had been a Sensitive?

There was so little they truly knew about their parents, and both agreed that their own children would have the opportunity to know them. Their children would know their history, good and bad, as it was important to know from where their abilities came.
