Identical letters are addressed to each man and delivered by school owls

I understand that you have been preoccupied of late, however, I have a proposition for you and would like to meet with you this coming Wednesday after classes have ended. We will take tea in my office at 4 p.m. If this time is inconvenient for you, let me know. Otherwise, I will see you then.

Oliver read and reread the owl, a frown crossing his face. He'd felt a little guilty when he'd seen who the letter was from, realising rather belatedly that he hadn't ever gone back to tell the Headmistress that he'd found what he was looking for, but he could remedy that when he saw her at the tea.

Curious over what sort of proposition she had for him, Oliver immediately snatched up a bent quill from his desk and rummaged around for parchment and ink.

I'm intrigued, Headmistress, but will leave off badgering you with questions as to what this is about until I see you at tea. I've some other news to share with you as well while I'm there.

Harry sighed, frustrated because he didn't need the distraction from trying to find Ron. The trail was cold and he hadn't been back to his flat, though, so he decided he might as well go rather than brood. He didn't want to let his former Head of House down, and maybe she could even give him some new ideas to explore.

Calling over the waiting owl, Harry wrote a quick reply on the back of Professor McGonagall's note.
