WHO: Aziraphale & Leia Organa
WHAT: Leia wants to thank the Angel for his Miracle.
WHERE: Angel/Demon central (their house)
WHEN: Early afternoon

Leia couldn’t have been more grateful for what Aziraphale was able to do - all in all it seemed an effortless gesture. A wave of his hand, as easy as swatting an irksome fly, but a more graceful. The Force was something she doubted she truly knew how far reaching its abilities and disciplines really were, but it wasn’t like this. This had been something else - as it’d been said it wasn’t a matter of simply healing, it was as if the injury had never happened at all. A miracle, apparently and she wasn’t one to scoff at something so tangible and ..well otherwise inexplicable. Alright. She’d accept miracle.

It was so soon after Luke had disappeared that she hadn't felt particularly able to stay very long once her collarbone was restored to its original state, as thankful as she’d been for his help. Still, there was something about the meticulously dressed man that’d warmed her to him nearly immediately which was rather rare for Leia, and she wanted very much to bring him a gift of something. The trouble being that there wasn’t much anything else she could think to do to show her gratitude. At first she thought she might venture through the doors and pick something that stuck out - but that could be entirely fruitless if she was presented with somewhere that didn’t have anything gift-worthy.

Eventually she settled on something she already had. A case of Toniray wine that she had brought back from her time through the doors, visiting Alderaan. Back home it was one of many extinct delicacies, lost along with her world. She grabbed a bottle and set out, returning to where to his home was, knocking lightly on the door.

“Very well, thank you, and just Leia is fine.” She assured, smiling; it was curious how in light of such a difficult week, the grief of which had been felt by a lot of residents, Leia found in this moment, she was already glad she’d made the effort to visit. “I really ..don't mean to impose on your afternoon.” Her tone polite, but found herself stepping through the threshold all the same. Cocoa? She must’ve been a child the last time she’d had it; from memory, it was delicious and comforting. Perhaps it was that, combined with his eagerness to host, which made it difficult for her to decline. “Cocoa sounds wonderful- so long as it isn’t any trouble?”

Leia seriously doubted that he’d refuse, even if it had been. She went on cradling the bottle, preferring to wait to hand it over once they’d settled.

“I wanted to thank you for what you did. There was plenty I needed help with and when my brother disappeared-” Leia cut herself off; really the inconvenience of a useless left arm likely would have had her come to the realisation that it was worth resorting to any kind of magic out there, Luke’s disappearance had only been a catalyst. "I expect I'd be having a great deal more difficulty without your assistance."

"Oh no, no, nonsense." Aziraphale waved off her concern for his afternoon, he welcomed the bit of company. It was most welcome, his attempts at friend making with the other residents hadn't worked out quite as seamlessly as he'd hoped, but then Aziraphale had never been all that good at this sort of thing. He found one or two humans that he could befriend for a time, but it was always a temporary thing, as the lives of all humans were of course. But when it afforded him the chance to indulge in the middle of the day like this? Who was he to say no?

"No trouble at all, come in, have a seat, Leia." He thought he might have preferred to go on using the other name, but if she preferred it then of course he could use her first name.

While he offered her a seat, Aziraphale busied himself putting together two mugs of cocoa, it was a simple thing really, the matter of a a small miracle really. Though could you call it a miracle really? For something so small? He thought not. But in the end it left him with two mugs of warm cocoa that he brought along with him offering one to Leia before he took a seat as well. "Of course, my dear. It was my pleasure to help, any chance I get to offer just a little bit of assistance is most welcome." He told her simply, not wanting her to feel beholden in any sort of way for the miracle that had healed her.

"And how are you feeling now? Still well I hope?" He asked just to be sure that she was not in need of further healing.

“Thank you.” Leia sat, slowly looking about the room, as private as she tended to be, herself, it was hard not to be curious when stepping into someone’s home. She found it interesting given how bare every house in Starklandia began, just how each had been shaped by each resident, or even in some cases changed by whatever made this world possible - not that accessorising a home was at all unusual, but things were different here, items where harder to come by, some who arrived here settled more quickly than others.

She set the bottle of Toniray by her feet, and soon Azirphale had joined her again with two mugs, which smelled incredible, and she thanked him with a smile.

“Nothing a little time won’t heal.” Leia voiced more calmly than she really felt about it, her gaze dipping to the floor. There’d been so many who had vanished; just as they’d arrived, in a blink of the eye. Feeling perhaps she shouldn’t have said it at all, she went on quickly enough. “But- the shoulder is as if it never happened.” a small shrug of it demonstrated the fact, and there was still a note of disbelief in her voice. "You have a gift." Whatever ..that was.

The home Aziraphale shared with Crowley was a sort of mix of the two of them, his penchant for clutter met with Crowley's more minimal aesthetic and they had found something of a harmony between them, or at the very least the grace to live with what the other brought into the home. For Aziraphale it was books and Crowley it was house plants, and together they'd been working on a wine collection as well - because needs must and all that. For a first time living with another being, Aziraphale found that he rather liked the company and sharing space.

He nodded as Leia spoke, telling him that she would need time to heal properly of some of the hurts that she was dealing with, time was something he understood only too well, it was one thing he'd had an incredible amount of experience in after all. "Ah yes, that is the way of it at times." He agreed.

And as for her shoulder, well of course it was as healed as all that, it had been a miracle after all. Though he could admit that he did not share the details of just how he'd healed her. Simply that it had been done and she was set to right once more. "I like to say it's a calling." He explained. putting it in the terms he so often heard humans use of their experiences with the All Mighty. "I haven't often been able to use it quite like that though, so it was rather a welcome change of pace for me. If you ever find yourself in need of mending again do let me know."

It seemed homey, from what Leia could see; an environment to feel comfortable in, and she appreciated the greenery.

Leia nodded again, to his words as she wasn’t one to dwell, at least not outwardly anyway and she wasn’t about to behave any differently in the company of someone she’d only just met. “And it seems the community is here to support one another, that makes a big difference.” To some anyway, it wasn’t that she didn’t appreciate the gesture, she did. She just tended to manage these things alone. She took a sip of her cocoa and indeed, it was just as delicious as it smelled.

Leia had to respect Aziraphale clearly wanted to keep to himself, however he had done what he did; what mattered was how freely he had offered this ability to help her and she didn’t question it further. "I will. Though with all due respect ..I hope I never have to ask you again." Leia smiled, a good-natured quip she hoped; it’d really had hurt quite a lot. "I wanted to give you something for it too.” She reached for the wine at her feet, able to hold the mug in the other because thanks to the person before her, she had two perfectly working arms at this stage.

“It’s called Toniray; a type of wine from my homeworld. I was fortunate enough to bring some back through the doors and ..I’d like you to have it.” The bottle itself had an ornateness to it, with a long neck, and a rounded sort of base, the clear glass showed a bright teal coloured liquid inside.

"Indeed," Aziraphale agreed of the community here in the town - certainly it was far more welcoming than some he had seen in his lifetimes. "Plenty of chaps around willing to offer their assistance." He nodded, thinking of the crepes that had been arranged, truly it was a very welcome thing to have found here. So a small miracle here and there was more than an even exchange as far as he was concerned.

He laughed warmly when she told him she hoped not to have need of him again. "Oh yes of course," He nodded easily. "But should the case ever arise once more, or even anything else." Because he was good for doing more than mending broken bones, and Leia was a nice young woman, he could do with a friend or two in this place. And you helped your friends, that was what he'd been trying to teach Warlock for so long after all. He could be of help to her in other ways too - even if it was just a friendly ear from time to time.

What he hadn't expected though was the gift she'd brought with her. And something that he liked so much. "Oh my," He said "It looks beautiful." He told her as he looked at the bottle that she'd brought with her, brightly colored, not at all like the wine he was so used to. "Are you quite certain that you want to part with it?" Because he wanted it, Aziraphale would not pretend otherwise, but if it was something from home? Could he take it from her? If Crowley had been here he'd have accepted easily enough he was certain, but Aziraphale could allow a moment at the very least.

“I promise, without doubt.” She assured of Aziraphale’s eager assurance he’d be there to help, a calling that, this world was in need of, medical supplies were hard to acquire. Plus his warm personality was definitely bonus, especially when it came to healing. “Your ..calling is wide ranging then?” His friend had mentioned a little about that, but not in detail.

Leia hadn’t thought it particularly creative of her; determined to find a gift to accompany her words of appreciation - it seemed nothing more special that what one might bring to a dinner party, or such so his reaction only made her smile, Leia hadn’t wanted her gesture to see perfunctory, pleased that he seemed genuinely delighted by it. “Absolutely certain.” She encouraged without hesitation, whilst the bottles she’d brought home meant a great deal, she wasn’t about to sit and drink them alone. “Knowing it’s being enjoyed, and shared means something too.” she assured with warmth - that was another way for Alderaan to live on too, in more than just herself.

“It’s quite dry, and sparkling. Best chilled I’d recommend -we decided it has notes of apple and vanilla.” It’d taken a little bit of testing compared to what Pancho’s offered to pin it, but in the end she and Luke had reached an agreement on the flavours.

"It can be, yes." He agreed nodding, it was a strange position to be in, removed from the world he'd known how much did he need to share, and how much should he keep to himself? He certainly wasn't interested in setting himself up as any sort of catch all as it were to fix any problem that might arise in town. But he was more than happy to heal a broken bone from time to time or some other small things that could be done with what he considered a small miracle.

As she offered him the wine again and her reassurances that she was certain she wanted him to have it, Aziraphale accepted it eagerly then. "Oh believe me, my dear, it will be most happily enjoyed." He promised her, because if there was nothing else he loved he loved a good glass of wine and something new? It only made it that much better. It had been so long since he'd had anything new, new in the way this was new. There were fad foods and things propped up as new and ground breaking back home nearly constantly, but so much of it was just more of the same. But this? From another world entirely. Yes he would enjoy this a great deal.

"It sounds lovely." He was already picturing sharing it with Crowley, to see what he thought of the taste of it, one more new experience for them to share. It was a nice thought. "We don't have anything with this sort of look, where I am from." He told her

Leia smiled warmly, happily enjoyed? There was no mistaking how genuine the man was in such. "Then Alderaanian tradition continues." and that was what mattered most. 'Tradition' was most definitely an embellishment - but enjoying the finest Toniray was something unique to her world.

“I suppose that’s one advantage of this place.” There were likely several of them, but she wasn’t feeling particularly generous toward Starklandia at the moment. “I’ve learned rather a lot of Earth’s traditions; most of them relating to food- and their propensity for large social gatherings for no particular reason.” She smiled because if anything it’d helped this community, it wasn’t a bad thing at all, nor was it really so different at all from her galaxy, she’d just been sheltered from it.

“Where is it you’re from?” She asked, they’d had small conversation and he’d felt a sense of faith was important. He’d not avoided answering, but he had seemed a little hesitant to speak too much on what he was able to do.

"It is always a nice thought when something like that happens, the sharing of cultures." He had always found it a rather charming part of humanity when they managed to come together for good rather than ill. It was only a shame that he didn't have something to give her in return. "I hope that tradition lives on long past this moment."

He laughed when she told him what she'd learned already of the customs of Earth. "Yes food does seem to be rather at the heart of many Earth customs." He agreed, and truth be told he appreciated that about them. Never one to turn down an excuse for a bit of celebration through food after all. "I think very often one needs a bit of an excuse for a party simply to make it through the day." Truthfully he'd felt rather the same from time to time, but then he'd popped round to one of his favorite restaurants for a small meal and his spirits were immediately lifted.

"Earth as well I'm afraid, my dear." He told her with a small smile - "Though from what I gather a different version than many of the others in this place." Which had been a fascinating thing to learn, that they could be from the same place and not. "England though, is where I've made my home for the last several decades." It was most comfortable there, his book shop was there, and most importantly Crowley had been there.

There was a nod, to suggest so. “Memories count.” She added to that in a warm tone, as Aziraphale hoped it should live on longer than just the bottle he held. “Yours now, as much as mine.” Another matter of significance, perhaps he wasn’t from her galaxy, but it was one more who meant something as simple as the taste of Toniray wasn't forgotten, so quickly.

“I’m just as likely to attend one as the next.” They were a guilty pleasure, of sorts. Even if it was more about being a part of it, than truly engaging. But, she had gotten better, a little? Perhaps. “It’s nice- that people care about community morale-. Could it be they’re half the reason this world works as well as it does?” It was a half-tease of course, no social gatherings weren’t exactly the key to a functioning group such as this, but Leia wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t part of it.

“The abilities of those on Earth- or multiple Earths, seem very varied.” From the wormhole traveller who seemed quite normal, to another she’d witnessed manipulating fire. Not quite certain if it was a sort of apology, to suggest there was something ordinary about Earth, she smiled all the same. From what she’d gathered, it didn’t seem so, but what he said made her think all the same. “I’ve heard talk about different versions of worlds- having something to do with why were here- not something that was greatly explored where I'm from.” Pocket dimensions, was the word she’d heard thrown about.

"Indeed, they certainly do." He agreed as Leia pointed out that memories counted for keeping traditions alive. Certainly now that it was a memory of his it would out live perhaps any life that Leia had foreseen for it.

He chuckled and lifted his shoulders as he gave her teasing suggestion just a touch of consideration. "It might be, to tell you the truth. The party that was held for our arrival really did make Crowley and I both see this place much more warmly." He told her, "And if you can make yourself a bit of fun every now and again, things are always just a bit easier to endure." Aziraphale himself was a master of finding a bit of pleasure in even the most mundane of situations after all, so he understood that mentality all too well.

"Indeed," He agreed, they didn't have anyone like some of the townspeople here back in the world he was from. "In truth, where I'm from abilities are not something most have at all." He confessed. After all he was not most. "No it's not something we've had much exposure to where I'm from either." He added of the idea of multiple versions of their worlds. As far as he'd known before arriving here was that there was simply the Universe, not the multiverse as it were. "It's an interesting thought, all very ineffable really."
