Who: You! If you wanna be there!
What: Their Vegas trip turns into an Alien Attack!
Where: Las Vegas, Alternate dimension of some sort.
When: The next day

Peter had one hell of a hang over, and the details of the night before were more than a little bit foggy. The details of which would no doubt start filtering back to him slowly over time. But as he looked out on the early morning sunrise over the strip he frowned looking out over the horizon.

There were lights, and not just the Vegas lights, not the neon of casinos and spot lights encouraging people to come out and spend their nights and days throwing away their money, but hovering lights, that were rapidly approaching. But even that wasn't enough to really clue him in - not until the first laser beam shot out of one of the ships (they were ships!) and blasted the replica Eiffel Tower did Peter get it.

They were under attack, here of all places. Hung over and not at all dressed for the occasion. This was his punishment he thought, for what he and Carol had gotten up to since their arrival.

"Come on! Move move move!" Peter was already moving, he might not have the suit and well he might not be from here but he wasn't about to let people get hurt.

[OOC Note: Okay, this is being run as a standard party thread, just use your headers in whatever threads you start, feel free to punch an alien or run and hide, save the princess, or steal in the middle of the chaos, whatever your little heart desires. And most of all have fun!]

Leia understood when she was being helped, though it didn't have to mean she liked it particularly, or was any good at accepting it either. Being protected and shepherded about was almost worse, despite the sentiment that had come along with it - it exposed Galen to the brunt of the danger in this situation, and it was becoming only clearer if she didn't give in, it'd be on her if they were met with worse that quickly incapacitated them both. Still, her resistance was fading, through his efforts, and it was hard not to recognise the kindness, and even care he showed, without seeming callous.

"Will you st-" She was cut off by a grunt as the explosion hit, throwing out debris, which she heard rather than felt, though being pinned meant she would have felt little else than the pain that flared immediately in her shoulder: there wasn't much else he could've done.

Her frustrations were more about the situation itself, the fact she'd been rendered useless in this moment - not that she hadn't been injured before. She'd come close to death more than once, had stitches in the field. She'd had to admit defeat then too. It wasn't shame, but she never was very good and accepting decisions being made for her, in any sense.

"Let's just get out of here." She sighed, gaze averted low as she tried to move forward, the direction he'd been leading her in, back through the doors. "Now there are two of us that'll need to be seen to." She sounded worried, not annoyed; but she'd probably actually thank him when they were safe. He'd been right.

Simply put, Galen didn't need her to like it, just accept it - because it was happening one way or the other. Starkiller was able to protect and do what needed to be done. Well he had hoped. It wasn't like he protected very often, or at all. He was about the destruction. That was where his life landed so often. Killing droves of stormtroopers and sabotaging Imperial facilities.

The blast was unexpected in the sense, he didn't know where it was happening. Mostly just it was coming. Knowing his covering was not the gentlest on Leia, he did have eyes of concern. Before allowing them to move on though, he made sure he was able to look at her shoulder. "This can be a permanent injury if we don't get you taken care of." Galen muttered.

When she tried to move, Starkiller stopped her. "I got first." He told her. "I'm fine, I don't need to be seen." He commented as he put her behind him, which allowed the blood to be seen from the debris he took to his back. "We'll get you to safety." He glanced back some, nodded, and then he moved forward. Other than a few patrols, and having to dispatch the enemies quickly, it was a decent travel towards the door out. They were even able to stop a t his bag he had discarded previously. "We're almost there, Leia."

“It’ll heal fine, I’m sure.” She decided, not because she was being stubborn in particular, but because she was counting on it. When they were in Starklandia, she intended to rest, as long as she needed. Hopefully they had some sort of painkillers there, strong ones. “It’s not as if I’ll have a lot on my plate, back there.” She could sleep for an entire week, if she wanted and she doubted it make any difference to the town.

She relented, this time. Letting him go on ahead as he insisted without further argument, she supposed he had a point. “If you refuse to see someone. Then so will I.” She murmured, in warning. She was able to see his wounds now, they might not have been enough to slow him down, but if nothing else, they’d need a good cleaning, and a careful eye to be sure nothing remained embedded in his back. If he was that stubborn about seeing whoever knowledgeable was within the town, then Leia would tend to him herself. Anything, was better than thinking it needed no attention at all.

Leia couldn’t hide her relief that they were getting close to the doors back to Starklandia again, it was better in a sling, without question, but moving as quickly as she could do, still moved it, jostled the arm about even slightly, and cumulatively, it was all taking its toll, though Leia knew she’d be able to get through those doors, and back to safety and comfort and pushed on.

Galen wasn't sure. Collarbones were the worst. Not that they didn't heal, just never correctly. That was the fact of life. Bodies when healing on their own never did it right. Starkiller learned this through his training, due to his own injuries at times. Though, what he did know, he would do everything in his power to make sure that Leia had what she needed. "You will have a lot." He told her as he stopped them. A handful of aliens were rounding up some civilians and gun point. It looked as if they were getting ready to execute the handful of humans. He looked to Leia as if looking for a directive, because if it was left to him - those civilians were good as dead. While his eyes met Leia's, she gave him a nod and Starkiller knew his next mission.

Hold his hand low, to have Leia hang tight, Galen stalked forward pulling the second lightsaber. In the quickest moment, he had taken in the numbers. Only a dozen. Not bad at all. Then he was off. The quickness with the Force propelling him, he engaged the enemies with both lightsabers ignited. It was short work for Galen. Before the aliens knew what was happening three were cut down. Then the barrage of fire started at Starkiller. Jumping up, he dodged the attacks and threw the green lightsaber into the skull of another alien before landing and cutting down another. Slicing his way through dispatching the next in front of him and another that was near by was cleaved in two strokes and quartered by the lightsaber. Galen turned towards the remaining five and put himself into a stance while the loud "Ack ack" was called out from the aliens while they leveled their weapons. In a flash, Starkiller snapped his handout as one went to fire using the Force to push the gun to the side shooting one of his companions, and then with the Force in one motion started to choke another firmly while dodging blasts. Closing the distance Galen cut another down before jumping over one of the last aliens and spinning cutting in two. Releasing the Force of the one now very dead and suffocated. Galen turned to the last and froze it with the Force. With a snarl, Galen slowly forced the gun to point at it's own head. Walking back towards Leia, he used the Force to cause the alien to shoot himself in the head.

Calling the green lightsaber back with the Force, both weapons were disengaged and returned to their homes.

"Come Leia." He encouraged helping her away from the carnage where the humans would be able to arm themselves and move on. Okay, so he was a little injured, and he could feel it at this point. The burn in his back as the debris shrapnel made his back bleed more. "We're almost out of here." Galen told Leia. "Once we're through, we'll make sure you're taken care of." He promised

“I’m sure I’ll have no choice.” And Luke would be there, with her at home. It wasn’t the first time she’d wondered if her brother was here, and if he was alright. She wasn’t in any state to sense him, let alone go looking, but- he’d gotten through worse than this. Still, she felt guilt swim about in her stomach at the thought of leaving without being certain.

But she wasn’t left to dwell on that, they were so close to the doors, and they’d come upon something, and it was immediately obvious what was about to happen, and whether there was intervention or not, someone would be dead. Many, would be dead. There were matters in which split second decisions needed to be made - Leia didn’t have a great deal of information to go on, perhaps others in her position would have made different choices, would have chosen not to interfere.

She’d seen enough destruction to know there was only one way to end it. Or at least help it to. She didn’t really hesitate, encouraging Starkiller forward.

Leia didn’t enjoy it, or revel in what she saw - it was carnage, and violence and these situations always were. Regrettable decisions that sometimes, she was capable of dwelling on. Some of the most difficult decisions she’d made, had been for the sake of what was already lost, so that the lives lost of those who’d chosen not to engage in war where not in vain. This? Well, she’d chosen a side to defend. If nothing else, it was done with some amount of efficiency and the humans had the sense a chance, they had already begun to escape as soon as the creatures were distracted enough not to have their blasters pointed on them, though at this point they didn’t seem to know what they should be more afraid of. At least they were moving.

Some of the choices he made to dispatch the creatures seemed particularly brutal, chilling even. She wondered of his motivations, given their discussions earlier at dinner. But killing was killing and the rebels had their share, often at her leadership; for a cause. For something she, and the Alliance believed so fiercely in. In this moment, she believed the attacks she had seen could not be idly left to continue.

When he returned, she looked grave, likely a little pallid; whether that was the pain or from what she’d seen the Princess didn’t elaborate, or say a word, just moved. Thankfully they didn’t have far to go to get out those doors.

At points, he was Galen was naturally brutal for brutality sake. The young man was dark in his soul, molded around violence and combat. The capability of his forms were insane, that he just seemed to fall onto Juyo mainly for the aggressiveness behind it. The brutal nature of the love of combat.

Though despite the violence that they were leaving behind, his focus was on Leia and her injuries. She wasn't looking good, and Galen felt an air of uneasiness coming from her. "Leia," He sighed at her. "You should not have watched." He commented about what he did. "That wasn't something for your eyes." At this point, he put Leia's good arm around him so he could help her walk more easily towards where the doors were. "What you saw is something people not bred into violence should not witness." Galen almost sounded sad that she saw the true him, but it was him, the real him. The real him was brutal and reveled in combat and violence.

"There's no need to treat me as if I'm fragile." She murmured, not so much defensively, nor was it a rebuke, she didn't have the energy; but a reminder. "I've seen much worse-." No matter what she saw, there would be never be anything, as devastating, or traumatic as the watching the destruction of Alderaan. Nothing else could be as senseless and destructive.

There was a part of it that wasn't unfamiliar, Leia didn't seek combat or soak in violence; but they were impossible to avoid in war. She had no second thought about destroying the first, or the second Death Star, she'd rarely hesitated firing a weapon. It wasn't a pleasure, but her battles were fought with fires stocked by the destruction of Alderaan, refusing to hold back and doing what she had to, for the rebellion made their sacrifice mean something - sometimes that was all she had.

"It's the pain." Leia reminded, an explanation why she likely looked as unwell as she felt at this point. She wanted to remind him her legs were just fine as he insisted on taking some of her weight - but admittedly she was starting to feel light-headed. Shock did these things, sometimes. The quicker they got to the doors the better.

"Sometimes, violence is unavoidable. But, no one is bred into it." It wasn't dismissive, nor rejecting the life he'd been stolen and thrown into. It was a statement, a thought; violence was learned, it was absorbed, for some it was a way of life. A terrible, unfair way of life in Starkiller's case and it was - a part of him. But, Galen had also seen what he'd been born to, originally - it might seem barely part of who he was now, but there was no denying it.

"You're not fragile, you're just hurt." Galen shook his head to her. "It doesn't matter what or what you haven't seen. It's what you're seeing now." Starkiller rounded out with. "If you have no reason to see, then you should look away." Oddly kind words coming from the Sith.

They were dangerously close the door to get out of this hellscape.

She could say what she wanted about her paleness, he knew part of it was his attack. There was something brutal about him that was terrifying and most people were not capable of handling that part of him. Leia could be one of those, and Galen actually wouldn't judge her for it, considering he could make someone shoot them self in the face.

"Not bred.." Galen commented as they approached his bag he dropped when he came to go rescue her right outside the door. "Here we go. Lets get you taken care of sooner than later." He commented picking up the bag as they crossed through the threshold to salvation.
