Peter Parker ([info]starkward) wrote in [info]snapthread,

WHO: Valkyrie, Peter Parker (MCU), and The Doctor (13)
WHAT: Visiting the TARDIS
WHERE: ...the TARDIS
WHEN: After this and this
RATING: TBD (Probably low)

While Peter Parker had a lot of friends and "family" here, he still felt lonely sometimes. He missed Ned. He missed MJ. He missed Aunt May. Heck, he even missed Happy, as awkward as that relationship could be. But there were a few things he could do here to make himself feel that sadness a little less forcefully: he liked meeting, getting to know, and helping other people who lived here very much.

Peter was pretty excited to see The Doctor again, and to meet up with Valkyrie. He was enjoying meeting and getting to know all of the new people in Starklandia, especially those who seemed so unapologetically awesome. So when he found out that they were meeting up today, he invited himself along. Any excuse to get to go to the TARDIS, man. That was epic.

Leaving all other activities he might have planned for the afternoon aside, he grabbed his phone and headed out to go meet the others by the blue phone box that was bigger on the inside.

Voices! She'd been tinkering under her control panel when she first heard voices. She'd almost forgotten about them. Well, not the voices, but the inviting of the voices- people. Pushing herself out from underneath, she pulled up a screen and grinned broadly at the sight outside. Valkyrie and Peter Parker (the little one). She'd almost forgotten she'd invited Valkyrie by. It wasn't entirely unexpected, yet it was at the same time.

"EXTERMINATE!" Bob pulled against his chains from the corner, the Dalek trying to move forward and stopping when it couldn't go more than a few feet.

"Yes, yes, exterminate, I know! Gotta work on your manners a bit, don't we?" She muttered as she made her way to the door, throwing it open and sticking her head out. She had her welding goggles still on, and a big grin on her face as she looked between them.

"Hullo! Didn't exactly expect you two yet. Or together. Tea??" She moved away from the door to let them in and half-jogged back up the to the center of her TARDIS.

"Go on! Make yourselves at home-"

"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!!!"

"Don't mind Bob, we're still workin' on him."

"EXTERMINATE!"

"Shut UP, Bob!" She sighed and walked back over to them, moving her goggles up to sit on the top of her head. "Pull up a chair-I should get chairs in here, shouldn't I?"

Valkyrie peeked in the door before heading in. This was not what she expected, neither was the thing in the corner, yelling. Bob? She stepped out of the way to let Peter Parker in, her eyes narrowing as she just took it all in.

"Pocket dimension?" Her hand reached out to touch what looked a little like a leg, bending column? "Something that breaks the rules of space and time?" She ran her hand along the wall before she started walking around the space, avoiding the Bob thing.

"Portal of some sort?" She motioned to the door. "The exterior and interior on two different scales? Or are they occupying two different spaces?" Nothing about one being bigger, or the other being smaller. Just that they were different.

Peter blushed a little, grinning like a loon at her praise. Sure, he was an awesome superhero, but he was also a seventeen year old boy. He had more insecurities than he could count, and having his very existence fortified by approval from such a kick-ass woman was flattering to say the least.

Then he was about to respond that he did, indeed, trust the Doctor, when the door opened and there she was, smiling and offering them tea. Peter turned his blushing face to smile at her, too, and nodded.

"Uh... yes? Mabye all of the above." Peter was trying hard not to think too much on it as he moved through the doorway into the TARDIS (bigger on the inside) and closed the door behind himself and Valkyrie.

Her eyes were a bit wider as Val started to guess what this place was and she answered with a definite enthusiasm. "Yes! Sort of. Well, exactly, actually. You're not a Time Lord, are you?" It was a half-joke, because who knew? Maybe in her universe, Asgardians WERE their own sort of Time Lords. Maybe. She'd have to look into that- ask Loki or Thor.

Or neither, since one lied and the other might not know much about how to answer.

She was already fixing tea- well, the TARDIS was pouring cups of tea under the console and she popped over to hand Peter a cup and saucer. "Cream? Sugar?" She'd placed a small pot for both on the console, right next to some important buttons. Probably fine.

"It's a brilliant feet of engineering, isn't it? This one was in a museum when I borrowed her-" The console seemed to react to that and Thirteen rolled her eyes. "Fine, went with! She's touchy."

Valkyrie watched Doctor Thirteen move about the space; she certainly knew it very well. The warrior's eyes narrowed slightly; tea on what Val hadn't decided she was standing in. She looked around for a place to lean, to sit, just to relax really. Her hands dug into her pockets, she was happy to have pockets.

"She?" She'd heard people call their vessels, vehicles, whatnot, all sorts of things, usually as 'she.' "Is this a living thing?" Her words were without judgment. She knew that people could get quite attached, and it was possible the place was living. She'd not experienced that much if at all, but she wouldn't say it was impossible. Anything really was impossible, even if she were still out in space.

"I've never been in a TARDIS." She knew that was obvious as she'd not even known what it was in the first place.

"Sure. Yeah. Both." Peter said, grinning. He was stoked to be inside the TARDIS. He had so much to learn about this building--transportation device. Space ship? And just being near the Doctor made him feel smarter.

He jumped when the console reacted to the Doctor. He hadn't been expecting lights or sounds or anything. They weren't moving, were they? A couple steps, and he was right over against it, looking at all the buttons and lights, wishing he knew what they all did.

He'd just eavesdrop on Val and the Doctor's conversation until he was ready to chime in.

"Right up!" She took Peter's tea to fix it up, glancing over her shoulder at Val as she answered her question. "Oh, yes. Sorta? Not organic, no. Not so much. Maybe a bit here and there." She handed the tea to Peter and picked up her own to take a sip.

"But she has a soul- met her once when it was trapped inside the body of some poor woman..." That was a sad story. A sad series of stories. She went quiet for a moment then shook her head.

"She's always been my companion- the one constant. Don't know what I'd do without her. But...it's not natural to be stuck here. Not for her or for me."

"EXTERMINATE" Bob shouted from the corner.

"Or for Bob."

"I know what it is to be stuck somewhere when it is not the norm." Valkyrie nodded. She'd not taken tea; it was strange to drink tea somehow with a thing yelling at them. She stared at "Bob." It did look heavy, but it did not look like luggage. She shifted and found a new place to lean.

"That does sound unfortunate. To be in a body that is not one's own." She looked up at the TARDIS; she'd known captains who thought of their ships/vessels as living beings. They heard them somehow in ways that others could not, yet Doctor Thirteen did not sound the same as she spoke of this..TARDIS. The TARDIS did seem to react to the woman, and there was just that feeling.

"Is that all Bob can say?" The thing's name felt odd in her mouth, but if that was its name, that was its name. "Peter knows me." As if she hadn't meant to pay attention to the crude thing, she started a new discussion.

"We seem to be from the similar times and space." She smiled at Peter.

Being trapped in Starklandia was a bit of a stretch for Peter, too. He hated that there weren't skyscrapers the way New York had them. He missed swinging. He felt useless without bad guys to chase down, without innocent people to save from things. But still, he had Tony back. Mr. Stark--his mentor and father figure--was here. He was alive. There was a part of Peter that wouldn't risk that for anything in the world.

The creature/machine/whatever in the corner shouted and Petr actually jumped a little. He turned to stare at it. "...did Bob just... threaten me?" He asked, something of a whimper, as he held the tea up to his lip.

Then he forced a smile over at Valkyrie. "Yeah, uh... we've fought together before. In a terrible war."

The Doctor frowned at the mention of the war. She'd heard Tony talk about it before- she'd picked up enough here and there. It seemed many of those trapped here had experienced that war. And she was starting to wonder how that impacted why and how they were in this place now. "With the Mayor, right?" She sighed, sipping her tea and looking toward Bob.

"Daleks aren't really known for their vocabulary."

"I WILL. DESTROY. THE DOCTOR."

Thirteen glared at him. "Now you're just showin' off," she muttered and set her tea down.

"Don't worry, Peter. They threaten everybody. That's just what they do- well, that and destroy entire planets and hunt down all living things. Don't take it personally."

She walked over to the DALEK which started tugging on it's chains more. "You need manners, Bob! These are guests."

"EXTERMIN-" She battled it on the 'head' with her hand then spun back to them as the DALEK stopped.

"We're workin' on it- ANYWAY, I can show you around if you like? Library? Wardrobe? Sauna? We've got a swimmin' pool in here somewhere."

Valkyrie nodded at the question. They had all fought together apparently; though it seemed like not all were from the same time. Carol certainly wasn't from the same time, or so Valkyrie had learned the other night. Her attention shifted to Bob again, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"Kree in a box?" She hmphed softly at the thing before looking at the room they stood, a sort of bridge? She moved to look at what had to be controls for a box? She smiled slightly at the whole idea of it.

"Swimming pool? Library? Wardrobe?" Her head lifted slightly at that last one. "This is a very nice box. Nice TARDIS." She lightly touched the edge control board.

"This vessel is one many people would want. She? She is a vessel? You are lucky." She turned to look at Doctor Thirteen. "Why do Bob want you destroyed?"

"With Mister Stark, yeah," Peter agreed, breaking into a small smile at the thought of his mentor and father figure. He sipped from his teacup and smiled. It was good tea.

Peter would go pretty much anywhere. A swimming pool sounded pretty incredible, actually. But he didn't have a suit. Anyway, he was more interested in listening to the women talk than he was in swimming at the moment.

"Library?" He offered, by way of a vote.

"Kree?" She knew that term, the Doctor frowned then realized where she knew it from. "Like Carol? No, no, definitely not like Carol- more like um...Terminators? I think that's the name of the movie. Do you have The Terminator where you're from? Love that movie! Though doesn't do much for androids, unfortunately." She sighed and smiled at Val.

Yes. She was very, very lucky to have her TARDIS...

"Don't mind him, the Dalek's arent' exactly my biggest fan. Sort of been stoppin' them from takin' over the universe for centuries. Made me their number one enemy."

But the library sounded lovely! She smiled again at Peter. "Well then, let's go! I'm sure we'll find it somewhere. Hopefully not past the lava." Yes, she really didn't want into the lava pits this go around.

"Carol is not like the Kree." Valkyrie shook her head. She shook her head. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "I do not know of this movie." She looked at Peter to see if this was a movie that he knew of. They were from the same world after all. It would seem like they were from the same time, or very close.

"I see. Are you the only one who attempts to stop them?" She looked over at the thing called Bob. She didn't like it at all, and she could only suppose that the woman knew how to handle them, especially since she was now their number one enemy.

"Lava?" She glanced at Peter; was this really something they were going to find? He could hang on a wall she supposed. "What sort of books do you have in your library?"

"Oh yeah. Terminator. The first movie's really, really old, but they made a bunch of them." Peter had seen the first few Terminator movies with Aunt May, though there were others he just hadn't had the chance to see. Maybe he should find some more dvds the next time he went through the Doors. Those might be kinda fun to bring back for movie night, anyway.

And then he shrugged, giving Valkyrie a your guess is as good as mine! kind of look. He motioned for her to go ahead, though. He'd follow along behind her and avoid all the lava.

Though, that was a very interesting question. What kind of books were found in a TARDIS library?
