Clark smiled softly. Scott wasn't wrong. Being sick away from home was hard. Sure, while he'd never been physically sick -- he'd certainly felt other kinds of sickness. Heart sickness. Self-worth sickness. Yes, he was invulnerable, but that didn't mean he never felt like he didn't fit in or that he might not be successful. It was in those dark moments that, when he'd first started, really needed his Ma and Pa. And then, eventually, Lois.
