Gwen had been trying to make the most of things after finding herself in an alternate world. That wasn't what was exactly off putting, as she'd been in an alternate world before arriving. It was that she had no way of getting out, and she wasn't sure what to do about it. She'd learned about the door, read about others doing some exploring while going through it, and decided she wanted to take a look for herself. Was it smart to do that without a companion or at least telling anyone about it? Probably not, but she didn't want anyone to tell her no. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission, right? Wasn't that how the saying went?
She'd left her new 'home' in her Spider-suit under her clothes since she didn't know what she was getting into, though she had the hood and mask down around the back of her neck. It didn't seem as pertinent to hide her identity. People were speaking pretty freely about their alter egos for the most part, and it didn't seem like a big deal. Besides, being unmasked was really the least of her worries at this point anyway. There were people far more powerful than her roaming around. That said, wherever she ended up might not be so 'open minded' about that sort of thing so she figured civilian clothes weren't the worst thing in the world.
Honestly, she didn't know what she thought she would find on the other side. Maybe some drums? That'd be nice. Reaching, grasping at straws for something, but still nice. Even some drumsticks would be cool. If not that, then just some new clothes or more coffee -- ooo, ice cream, or cake? she thought -- would be nice. Hell, maybe even by fluke she'd find a way home. Not likely, but maybe not impossible.
She sensed the presence of another just before that person grew to the full size of a human. "Oh, hey," she said. Gwen wasn't too bugged out by the size change, as evidenced by her smile. "Sure. Yeah, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the door. I hear it's kind of a big deal. I'm Gwen. Gwen Stacy." She held out a gloved hand.
