Nebula | Quill
Yeah, there was that. He thought Nebula was right about all of those things, about how it was possible for them to have something again if she wasn't pushed, that Gamora was the same person, and -- and all of that.
But the thing that had Quill worried, at least a little, was the fact that wasn't the same person. Of course she was at the core. She was still Gamora, obviously. But all those other things -- what they'd done before, the woman who'd told him that she loved him more than anything else -- she was gone. And he just didn't know if he'd always think about things like New Gamora and Last Gamora or if they'd blend together eventually. Just... Gamora.
It felt scary. To think that somehow, he might be erasing her. Even if it was with... well, herself.
Gamora probably would have slapped him for this kind of thinking. She'd probably encourage him to find her, and help, he figured.
It was just -- there was plenty to think about. And he wasn't sure tonight was the night to get into it, so he nodded at Nebula. "I'm hoping," he said, and that was so true. He meant it. "I'm going to try my best."
