Kitty couldn't help but playfully roll her eyes at John as he went to great lengths to assure her that he was always right. She supposed it was't too important, not for tonight at least and she was more than happy to move on from his injuries and the adventure he'd taken.
"And here I thought I'd been speaking your language all the while." She teased, after she'd had a sip of her wine, it was good - she'd have to tell Carol thank you for it later on.
He was in a good mood, happy and proud of himself by her estimation and Kitty enjoyed it very much. He could be very good company when he wasn't insistent upon feeling sorry for himself, and even then he wasn't too difficult to bring back around to something a little bit more light hearted. It was a little strange to think that he was the very same Pyro that had been considered a foe for so long.
It was apparent that they held on to old views sometimes, too long maybe. This dinner tonight seemed proof enough of that.
"Oh come on," She said, extending a foot beneath the table just far enough to be able to tap against his, "You can tell me, I won't go sharing your source with the rest of the town." She teased. "They wouldn't be able to pull it off nearly as well."
