Kate had just been laying in her bed, staring up at the ceiling. She had done some time at COFFEE, even staying behind to hang out with Clint a little bit before he tossed her out because she was drinking more coffee than anything else. She had gone back to her room, thinking she'd take a nap before heading out to try and find America or Billy. Even Loki...she hadn't seen him in a while and that usually didn't bode well.

But once she was back in her room, sleep suddenly seemed to elude her and she tossed and turned before she gave up. That was how America found her, her arms hanging off the side of the bed as she stared up at her bare ceiling. She could make out her friend in her peripheral and moaned, throwing an arm over her eyes in a dramatic fashion.

"Do you think it's possible to find a king-sized bed through the doors and bring it back with us? That's totally possible, right?" She lifted her arm to squint over at America, hoping her friend would agree to such a ridiculous idea. Hey, if anyone would be able to do it, it would be the two of them. "We could have sleepovers and then you wouldn't be upset that I smack you in the face all the time!" She grinned, sitting up to actually welcome her in. "What's up? I was just thinking of going to find you in a little bit. Maybe Billy and Loki too." She scooted to the edge of the bed so America could sit next to her. "Have you seen Loki lately? Should we be worried?"

She pretended to look shocked when America challenged her on her patience. "Moi?" She placed a hand over her heart, a small pout forming on her lips. But really, as always, America was right. Kate didn't have the best patience; she was always a go and get 'em kinda girl, not a wait around for something else to happen. And that wasn't necessarily bad, right? At least not all the time. "Alright, alright, so maybe I'm a little, itty bitty, teeny tiny, bit impatient." She snuggled against America just as she reached for the bag. "But it's just another trait for you to love, right?"

Kate tried to peek into the bag as she pulled out the jar and looked at it, turning it over in her hands as she listened to what it did. Aw. America. She turned to look at her friend and glomped her, throwing both arms around her in a tackle hug that flopped them back on the bed. "You're the best," she said, her voice a bit muffled as it was buried in her shoulder. Before she had even talked about the frozen peas, Kate knew that's exactly what she had on her mind when she picked it out for her. Because America was the best and somehow, always thought of her, even when they weren't together.

"You're the best, you know that?" Kate felt like she told America that on a fairly regular basis, but this time around, she really wanted her to know. "This is going to be awesome!" Which it would! The lack of frozen peas was definitely upsetting, but then again, it wasn't like she was falling out of a lot of windows or fighting bad guys on the regular. So it wasn't that bad, but it had become such a staple in her life, it was almost like a security blanket.

"T'Pala paste," she repeated, looking at the jar still in her hand. "I've never heard of it." She glanced at America. "Door world?"

It was true, those things she teased Kate about were just things that she loved about her in the end. She just had to tease sometimes, it was how they were.

America laughed when Kate threw her arms around her suddenly declaring her to be the best for the first gift, she couldn't wait for her to see the second after this. "I hope it'll come in handy sometime."

"Yeah, yeah I went through when they said that the doors were going to space worlds?" She explained. "I ended up in a fight in a desert and Nyx found me and helped me and then we sold the weapons that he gathered up after the fight so I had all this money to spend in the market." And sure maybe she could have found something to spend it on for herself, but like she'd told Nyx, she wasn't really a stuff kind of girl. She hadn't felt like she needed anything there, not even a robot like the one Nyx had gotten for himself in the first trip he'd taken through.

"So yeah, there is this." She turned back to the bag and hoisted it up. "And there is this." She pulled the other gift out of the bag revealing the space bow she'd picked up for Kate.
