America wondered about the door too, closing it seemed like a bad idea, what if they couldn't get back when they went to reopen it? But if they left it open could something from here end up there? What if the door needed to be closed so her powers would work again? There were too many questions to consider and it made her head hurt thinking of it all. Instead she focused herself back on the place they were right now, they could debrief and go over any questions when they made it back in one piece.
Yeah, she definitely heard the rustling. This place was not one that left her feeling comfortable and at ease, it was so dark, and clearly abandoned, not a nice little street with a cafe for them to walk up to and steal a coffee maker, or even a run down town with homes to check out for supplies, this place was just empty and making weird creepy noises all around them.
"Dios mio," America knew this place was creepy but she hadn't expected literal monsters to jump out at them. But on the other hand this was something they were familiar with and watching as Kate felled a few of the monsters as they made toward them it was very obvious that they were outnumbered. And while America was all for a fight this was one she thought they probably didn't need to involve themselves in. There were no civilians to save, no buildings to keep upright, just the two of them and the door wide open to the place they'd just left - which was actually filled with civilians.
"Yeah, that's a great plan." She agreed, "We've gotta close that door before they get there." She didn't want to chance having to fight these things back in their peaceful little village. And Like that they were running, she knew Kate didn't need to be told twice, especially since it was her idea, and well if need be America could handle any that caught up to them.
