It wasn't terrible here. It definitely wasn't great, but considering what others had gone through, it could have been worse! It became a sort of mantra Jan had to tell herself every morning as she woke up in a world without Internet, fashion, or good food. It was an adjustment she couldn't prepare herself for and she had to remind herself that everything was going to be alright. She didn't really have the proof of it, but it was better than dwelling on the impossibles. Besides, she had heard of a weird room that you could go into and get stuff? She wasn't really sure how it worked (THIS IS WHY THEY NEEDED INTERNET! The network still seemed to be hit or miss with people), but figured she could work out the details later. She slipped into her outfit, flying out of her room to try and find this magical room everyone was talking about. She thought she remembered hearing it was on the edge of town, so it had to be easy to find.

She was almost to the courtyard when she spotted a familiar flop of black hair. At first, she didn't register that it wasn't peppered with white, but changed direction, growing to normal size as she landed behind him. "What are you doing on the ground?" she asked, trying to glance around him. "Wait, is that a suit?? When'd you get-" And then it hit her. She looked at Tony's face and she wasn't sure if she was going to scream or cry.

It was definitely the former as she tackled him to the ground.

Timefog! Why hadn't she thought of that? This was the exact reason why she and Tony made a great team. "I think there was still a little bit in the corner of the campus?" The Academy had grown so quickly that she hadn't noticed the gradual disappearance of the Timefog. Still, maybe that had a bit to do with where they were. She thought all their exercises would have stopped with graduation. "But at least you're here! This place is so weird!" Her eyes drifted to his suit again and couldn't help but smile.

"I'm happy your have your suit though! Oh man, if the tech is operational, we have so many possibilities! I'm pretty sure other Tony doesn't have his, but he has an alien craft!" She paused, frowning. "I think."

She glanced at her friend, grinning sheepishly. "Sorry. There's a lot I gotta fill you in on." She bounced up, holding her hand out to him. "C'mon, let's find you a room!"

There at the end of everything they'd cleared out so much of it, it felt like they'd taken care of that entire threat all together, and when everyone went off to do their own things - well all the problems they'd had on the campus were over and done with as far as Tony was concerned, they'd stopped the world from ending for the last time as the Avengers Academy and they were moving on with their lives. But here he was now with Jan trying to figure out exactly what had happened.

"I'm here!" He agreed with as much enthusiasm as he could muster while he was still figuring things out, "Where are we exactly?"

In typical Jan fashion she was talking a mile a minute and Tony was doing his best to keep up, but there were a few blanks that were drawing him up short despite being used to the way Jan could be when she was excited about something. "Yeah, yeah let's fill in the blanks and then we can talk about things like other Tony," whatever that meant, "and alien crafts." He wondered if maybe the Guardians were back after they'd headed off back to take care of the rest of the Galaxy, or something like that.

"I dunno," she said, giving him an indifferent look and shrugged her shoulders. "Apparently Thanos is behind it." She pursed her lips, upset that they could have been beaten. When she had found out from Tony, she had disintegrated a nearby tree and she wasn't about to do the same thing. They really needed to build a blasting range.

With her Tony's arrival, she was hoping it would now be possible! Other Tony had been working on getting things as operational and 21st century as he could. But now the brain power of two? They'd be creating their own futuristic utopia, she had no doubt.

"Right, blanks," she said, nodding her head as he slowed her down a bit. "Which one do you wanna start with?"

"Thanos? Come on we trapped him in the Darkforce Dimension he's not getting out of there." Tony reminded her, they'd beaten him, he'd forged the false infinity stone that helped make his defeat possible. They had done it, and he wasn't coming back. Tony refused to think any differently about that.

"So okay, you don't know where we are. How did we get here?" He asked, that was the next most pressing question. "It's not just Thanos right? There's got to be some sort of explanation for it." He was already wondering how he might be able to use what he had to figure out a way to get them back, because this wasn't just the Timefog coming up to mess with them again, or some new portal opening up outside the academy, it was something else entirely.

"Tell me what you meant about other Tony," That part still confused him, and to be totally honest he wasn't sure he liked the idea of another Tony, he was Tony not someone else.

Tony's statement felt like a question, one Jan wasn't sure if she could confirm. They had a few instances of time loops, different versions coming to join the ranks of the Academy. But this felt like a whole different level. Apparently, there were three Peter Parker's? None that she recognized and one that was old. But they all seemed like Peter and were nice enough, so Jan just rolled with it.

Jan was starting to feel like the lamest welcoming committee ever as she could only shrug to his next question. "I dunno," she said. "Other Tony said they were battling Thanos and that he snapped his fingers or something and half the population just kinda of..." She made her hands explode in front of her, her fingers wiggling away from each other. "He got stuck in space and his ship landed here." She glanced at Tony, wondering if he would believe her.

"Other Tony is older you?" She wasn't really sure if it was actual future Tony or a version of an older Tony. But it was him. She squished up her face as she tried to think about it. "You if you were like...50?" She shook her head, knowing he wouldn't like that. "No, no, my bad, maybe like...mid-40s." She tilted her hand back and forth as she tried a better guesstimation. To be fair, when she had first met him, he hadn't been in the best shape. It was amazing what a little water and clean air could do.

"You'll meet him, he's pretty cool." Of course he was, he was Tony Stark. Older, but still him. "Next?"

Tony frowned as she explained what she knew so far, that some other version of himself had been fighting Thanos, but where the Academy had succeeded in keeping him from destroying the universe, this other version hadn't been quite as successful in the battle and things had ended differently for them. "So..." Tony started, "What you're saying, is that he has a space ship?" He surmised. That sounded like something they could use, scrapped for parts at the very least, he wondered if he could get the suit hooked up to it, his mind already awhirl with possible ideas.

"50?!" Tony squawked absolutely horrified by the idea, that was a sort of horrifying idea that was too improbable to be true. Even with Jan taking it back suggesting mid-40s, it was not an improvement. "So it's me, but old." He wasn't sure how he felt about that, but well, if Jan liked him he couldn't be that bad. He'd have to get her to introduce him eventually.

"Okay, so what's the plan? How are we getting out of here?" He asked. If there was another version of him there had to be some kind of plan in the works to get all of them back home again.

Jan grinned, knowing that Tony would focus on their assets to try and help their situation. "Yeah, he's got a space ship," she confirmed. "I haven't seen it, but I know he's working on getting power through this place. He and the Pete's have been pretty successful too!" One step down, a million left to go. For Jan, they couldn't get this place up and running quick enough. Apparently, the idea of the Internet was completely off old!Tony's radar, but maybe it would be possible with her!Tony's arrival! With all the science nerds masters here, they had to be able to come up with SOMETHING.

"Yeah, you but old," she said, wincing at his reaction. Not that she wouldn't have the same if someone had told her there was an older her around either. "But hey! You look great," she emphasized again. She made a face, thinking. "He looks great?" Which he had! Just...a little on the older side. She had seen a few white hairs streaked throughout his black, but figured it would only happen with time the way they ran around and kept saving the world.

Jan shifted nervously as they made their way into the courtyard, her eyes darting to the well where she had met old!Tony. "Well, see, that seems to be the problem," she commented. "I dunno what it is about this place, but it seems to be on some kinda continuous track? Like, if we were to go out in the forest and try and walk away, we'd somehow end up back here." She had tried that, the sky, any option of escape and she kept coming back here. "So, option #2? We make this place as AWESOME as the Academy!" She grinned, her excitement causing her to shrink a bit and fly next to her friend. "Really, it's not terrible." She could play the part of trying to turn things around, even though she had felt her own depression set in moments before. Things were going to be better now because Tony was here. Her Tony. The one she knew inside and out.

"C'mon, let's find you your phone and where you'll stay! My buildings the best, so obviously there!" She flew in front of him, leading the way to the table with all the welcome packages.

"So more than one Peter too," That wasn't too weird, the campus dealing with the time fog seemed to make weird inter-dimensional sort of things happen more than they would have in other places. He nodded while she told him a bit more about what they'd been doing since arriving, what they'd managed so far, power was good, he didn't think any of them would survive long without that.

Him but old, Tony did not like the sound of that at all, he wasn't old, he wasn't supposed to get old. He didn't know what that meant for some eventual point in his life, but old was not a word that was supposed to be said about him. "Does he?" He asked doubtfully, how good could he look if he was 50? Okay he was being harsh, he probably looked great, he was Tony after all he had to look great. But it was a lot to take in, Spider-Ham was one thing, some crazy weird version of Peter - Tony could make sense of that, but another version of him that was older? That drew him up short.

Frowning while she told him about the place they seemed to be stuck in, that leaving didn't seem to be an option even if they didn't have some way to just jump back to their own worlds. It was strange. "Well I mean of course we'll make it awesome, but maybe we should have another option? Something that lets us try and figure out a way to get back and make this place awesome at the same time?" He suggested.

He was ready to let her lead the way, a phone sounded promising that had to mean there was some sort of network they could work with, his mind was already working trying to come up with some sort of idea to make something work for them, but he was brought up short. "Wait..." He paused a cold tingling feeling running up the back of his neck, "Oh my god. My cheese fridge! We're stuck here! What am I gonna do?" There was no way this place could be anywhere near as awesome as the Academy without it.

"Yeah, I pinky swear that you won't be completely disappointed when you see him." She grinned, because she knew, no matter what, Tony would be upset. It was probably hard for him to think of there being another one of him there, a competition for attention at first glance. But she knew, in the end, they would become best buds and do all sorts of things for this place.

Was it bad that she was already finding herself comfortable in this place? At least resigned to the fact that there was no escape. With her!Tony's recent arrival, the reasons for her immediate departure were shrinking in number.

Almost reading her mind, Jan practically jumped when Tony reminded her that their first priority was trying to find a way out of here, second priority of making this their own. "Yeah, yeah, right..." she started to say until she stopped with him. She gave him a strange look before she realized why he was so upset. "Aw Tony, don't worry, we'll just make a new one!" She wasn't so sure how, but she'd do anything to try and make her friend happy.

"C'mon, here's your phone," she said, handing it to him. She browsed through the keys before picking one up that was from the same group as hers. "Here, let's see what door this opens. It's in my building so hopefully, close by!" She nudged him back towards the buildings hoping to distract him with more questions.

"So what do you think we should do to try and get back?" Because she was out of options. The best hope they had was the little tech they had which consisted of their phones, old!Tony's spaceship, and this Tony's suit. It wasn't bad, but she wasn't really sure what they'd be able to make of all of it. But she wasn't going to let her own uncertainty dampen her spirits, especially when she needed to keep them up for Tony.

Tony had his doubts, but at the end of the day he trusted Jan completely, there was almost no one else in the world he trusted more than her, and in a world like this - well he was pretty sure she was at the top of that list, so if she was willing to make him a pinky swear, he could trust that she was being honest with him. So if she said he wouldn't be completely disappointed then he wouldn't be and that was all there was to it.

Tony pouted about his cheese fridge, it had taken him years to build up it's reputation, to have the widest variety of the very best cheeses in the universe, and now it was all gone, Pepper was probably going to end up finishing it off before they figured out a way to get home. But he nodded with a half hearted sigh, "I hope we can find enough cheeses to make it as good as the last one," looking around there Tony wasn't entirely sure there was going to be a chance of that.

Jan though, was quick to distract, urging him toward his sort of welcome packet, with a phone so that was a starting point at least. "I might see if I can get a few readings from the suit, JARVIS didn't seem to be working, but maybe he could get some of the other systems online and see if they could learn a little more about this place.

"After that..." He drew it out as he shrugged, "I guess we'll just have to work together the way we always do until we solve the problem."
