WHO: Nyx Ulric and Loki.
WHAT: Nyx's arrival and he's a confused boy.
WHERE: Town Square.
WHEN: Tuesday Evening.
RATING: Low?

The very last things Nyx remembered was wishing the young king a good rule, and nothing. It was darkness as his body burned away from the power with in him seeping out. The rulers of past weren't kidding. He was absolutely overflowing with the power from the Ring of Lucii and it was destroying his body from the inside out. He at least finished what he needed to. Things were going to finally be good for the kingdom. He did his honor well.

Except.

Nyx awoke with a desperate gasp of air being sucked in. He was laying on the ground. It was cold. Stone. The Glaive quickly stood up and looked about and then at himself. His hands were fine. His body wasn't burning away. Though his armor had seen better days still. He remembered the feeling of burning away, and he felt overly healthy. Just as he did the moment he made the agreement with the Kings of Past. Slowly Nyx ran his right hand over his left arm, over the bare skin now that his armor had been blown and burned away. The magic scaring wasn't there. It was all him. His right hand also touched his neck where he felt the burn of the magic eating away at him previously.

He was revived and normal.

Looking down he saw one of his kukris. The Insomnia designed one. The one he ended Titus' life with. Memento from where he came from? Where was he? Nyx bent down and picked up the weapon putting it in his sheath on his thigh. Nyx looked about and moved towards a strange table with simple items on it. A phone? Piece of paper? Nyx picked up the phone and put it in his pocket, and then read the directions. It was at his point Nyx's stomach shifted. He wasn't alone. Staring at the paper he let the uneasy feeling pull at him to allow for his training to guide him.

"I'm not looking for a fight." Nyx said out loud at the paper. "I am just very confused."

If there was any rhyme or reason to when people appeared in this place or from where, Loki couldn't quite figure it out. Sure, there were more people from what Loki could consider the universe the Avengers resided in, or some off shoot of it, but that wasn't everyone. Klaus and the woman with the anti-matter fuel weren't.

And this new person wasn't one that Loki recognized at all, either.

It wasn't that research was really required - Loki wasn't exactly the sort and would not have been the God(dess) of Mischief if they couldn't find some enjoyment in the chaos.

"Perhaps tell the paper a little more sincerely and you'll be able to avoid and sort of sharp cuts," she said from behind the man, arms held behind her back as she leaned forward slightly to peer at the paper that he held. Mind, all the paper on the table said the same thing, really, so there was no real point in looking. "You must be new."

The female voice, admittedly threw Nyx off a slight bit. Though that wasn't anything to think about. Nyx knew exactly how dangerous women can be. Crowe for example was absolutely dangerous. Her magic was unmatched. Was. His heart hurt at that thought. Crowe was one of his own, and she was murdered and left in the trash outside Insomnia.

By one of his own. Was honor so fleeting?

Slowly Nyx looked at the woman who was for all intentional purpose welcoming him here. "I am." Nyx commented coolly. "Fresh and new to this strange land. Are we close to Lucii? Niflheim?" Turning his full body towards the woman he folded the paper and put it away an in a pouch on his belt. At this point he finally took the woman in fully. She was quite stunning to say the least. Carefully shifting his weight some he pulled at his tattered armor uncomfortably.

Honor was incredibly fleeting. If it even existed at all -- Loki didn't think that was the case, in most instances. And to be fair, she was not a particularly honorable sort. Not usually, anyway.

She looked him over as much as he did her, and found that yes, it was true, he was not someone she recognized and wasn't that sort of odd? Usually Loki knew most everybody, if not in person than by reputation. This place really did like ruining Loki's overall sense of superiority through knowledge. What a shame.

"No," she said, touching a thoughtful finger to her chin. "This isn't near Lucii or Niflheim." Loki did not know either place. "Nor Asgard or even Earth, so much as I am aware." She tilted her head, thoughtful. "Are you injured?" He didn't appear it, but he didn't look very put together either.

This woman, left Nyx skeptical. The way she looked at him. The way she postured. There was just simple things that stood out that left him skeptical. Afraid? No. Just... skeptical. Though Nyx wouldn't let these things particularly steer his judgement of the woman. You mustn't judge on appearance or first encounters.

As the woman before him discussed the locations in which they were not near, two did not stand out to the Glaive. "What is this Asgard and..E-arth?" Nyx attempted to recreate the word that the woman said. Strange lands to hail from. "Where is here, and what ruler rules over this land?"

Looking about some trying to get his grasp then his attention was caught with inquiring about injuries. Stunned he looked at himself. Sure. He'd look like he was coming from battle, which he was? Right? Was he dead? Was this place where the souls went to upon death?

"I think I'm dead." Which some might say, Nyx was taking quite well actually.

"Midgard," Loki corrected -- not Nyx, but herself. Because Earth was what some called it, if they were from there, but it wasn't what Asgardians called it. "That's what some call it. You've not heard of it? Curious. Most people have. Where is Lucii?"

It probably didn't matter. And most people couldn't pick out where their planet (or city, perhaps?) was anyway. Still, it was worth the try.

"Oh?" she asked, but didn't seem all that surprised. A lot of people who showed up here thought themselves dead at first. Loki hadn't. She's simply been walking through a newly created door. It was easy to say she should not have been so fast in closing it behind her. "Well, you're not anymore if you ever were. This is not Hel, although it may seem as such being a new city and old dirt."

Maybe he was taking it well, but some things did take a while to sink in.

To the name Midgard, Nyx only shook his head. That didn't make any sense either. "Well, if I knew where Lucii was, I would go there. Until I figure out which direction I need to travel, I can't say for certain on which direction it is." Nyx paused as he contemplated his next move. "So is this not the nation of Asgard or Earth?" Nyx asked politely. "Also not Midgard?" This was very confusing. "Which nation do we reside?"

"Yes. After my fight with Niflheim, it had left my body discharging the magic in which was bestowed on me from the Kings of the past, and with that our agreement, I would lose my life at sunrise." Nyx explained. "I was able to sit and watch the sunrise, but that's all I really remember." Nyx looked away in thought and then back. "That and my body slowly turning to ash and flaking away." That was real fun.

He wasn't dead? That was truly a miracle. Nyx's eyes wide, he looked about and then back to his compatriot. "That is good news. I need to find a way back to Lucii so I can go serve my King. He needs every soldier."

Oh right, he had asked about that hadn't he. "They call it Starklandia. It's as made up a name as any place, really, except the person in question it is named from is here, at the moment." Loki hadn't been around for the naming, and had thought for a time she might care to change it but had decided somewhere along the way that it simply didn't matter. No name would have a proper connotation. "We have no rulers, although some might argue for the title more than others." Loki was not one of those people, and had no large interest in ruling such a sad group.

"Hm," she said, thoughtful, looking Nyx over like maybe she might find where the ash would start and the person began. "That seems to be a story that many have here. You might blend in well. What is bad news though, is that what you think is good news is not. There's no leaving this place. Not really. Did I catch your name?" Her tone was nearly cheerful, like she wasn't worried about it at all.

"Yes. That is accurate, but if you must think of it, isn't all of our names made up." Nyx countered. Though Nyx thought on the fact of the place being named after this man. It meant one of two things. Either this man who the town was named after was completely egotistical or he was a great man. Or both. Guess there was a third option.

No rulers? Who made the decisions on policy and laws? Having no governing factions made it incredibly difficult to continue as a society. At least Nyx thought. How did you punish a man for murder with out a law for it?

Stuck? Jailed? Imprisoned? These thoughts rapid fired through Nyx's mind as he took the information in. Was this is specific Destiny? From the God's or Kings of Old? Was it reason for him to be here? There had to be reason, or none. There was no conflict. Was this his chance for peace? So many questions that'd likely go unanswered. I apologize my King. This journey is now mine. Good luck. Nyx said his silent prayer to his king and smiled to the woman.

"Then it shall be." Nyx bowed his head politely. "I'm Nyx Ulric." He then offered his hand to the woman.

"That's how language works," Loki agreed, although that was a bit more on the side of semantics than she cared for. With names came power, and sometimes power over things. They were important, sometimes. Most of the time. Where Loki was from, anyway.

Here, on the other hand, Stark could keep his poorly named town - although it was rather clear that he hadn't been the one to really name it. That he kept it though, was telling in terms of ego.

And maybe greatness. Even if they were often enemies, Loki wouldn't discredit the good in Stark.

Nyx Ulric. An interesting name. For an interesting man who apparently was fine taking things in stride. Loki rose an eyebrow but took the offered hand. "Loki Laufeyson." Or Odinson. Sometimes, even Loki was not so sure what her name was. In this place, it didn't so much matter. "You must tell me your story properly some day," she said with a smile, nearly sharp. "I love a good story."

Semantics were something as it sounded. Though, Nyx never believed his own name was something that carried power. Sure King Regis was a widely respected man, but him? He was just a Glaive that people nicknamed Hero. Never allowing comrades to perish for no reason, and saving those he could.

Libertus.

His heart hurt at the thought. Though, to his knowledge he was tending to the princess and had got her out of the city.

"Pleasure is mine, Ms. Laufeyson." Nyx responded giving her an appropriately firm and respectful handshake. "It's funny, where I'm from I've heard of a Loqi. He was a general for Niflheim." Nyx thought on it. "I never crossed paths with him though." Shame, he'd of slayed him. "Though sometime, we may have to share stories. You seem like a woman who has some." Nyx offered a wry smile. "It's in the eyes."

"Loki is just fine," she corrected, because Ms. didn't feel very much like it suited. Certainly no more than Mr. might have. Sometimes, a first or last name basis was best. Or, Loki supposed, she could offer up one of her many titles, but that felt something like a moot point currently, as well.

"I'm not much of a general myself," she said, with a shrug, because being self assured about being the best Loki around was an easy thing. "Is it? The eyes, you say?" Loki smiled over that, amused. "As you say, Nyx. I'll leave you to explore, if it's all the same. I'm not much of a tour guide." And she'd gotten what she wanted, for now. A name for a face, and enough information to run with for later if need be.

Loki it was. Of course, Nyx didn't understand the full force that was the woman before him. Of course, that also didn't matter to Nyx. Gods were real where he came from, and they could be beaten. But this woman wasn't attacking him or causing him to feel on edge. "Alright. Just Loki." Nyx offered a smile.

"I'm not a general or anything personally." Which was true. Hailed a hero, and never a rank. Nyx didn't want it anyway. He wanted to be on the line with his brothers and sisters. "It is. The eyes hold many secrets." Nyx commented.

"Well, if you must be off, Ms- Loki. I will leave you be. I will explore, and find my way." With that he bowed his head politely and started his journey, and that would be finding a high up perch to get the lay of the land. Pulling his kukri he wound back and threw the weapon high and through the air. Turning back for a moment, he gave a small salute and vanished in blue particles as he warped to his weapon.
